Suits - is it worth persevering with?

I've started watching season 1 of Suits. Everyone raves about how good it is but I can't get into it. I've watched about 6 episodes and I'm not really taken with it. Does it get better and is it worth persevering with or should I just sack it off? I'm not really interested in the legal stuff and so far I haven't warmed to the characters. I know some shows take a season or two to really get into their stride and I'm wondering if this is one of them? Thanks.

I love it so would definitely go with!

Does it get better or does it stay like it is in the first season?

Season 2 and 3 are fab. Season 4 ok. I got fed up season 5 and gave up. I will go back at some point just because I want to see the outcome!

I think it's lowbrow American bollocks tbh. We watched a bit to see Meghan but quickly gave up - it's so obvious.

MinorRSole · 28/07/2018 19:25

We watched season 1 but really couldn't get into it. This was back when it first started and I haven't bothered since.

It's quite shit but at Harvey Specter. That's why I watched it. Mainly to drool.

GodivaEater · 05/08/2018 19:20

I gave up on it too. I just didn’t give a shit about their corporate lawyer world. The most boring part of lawyering to make a tv show out of surely.

Aridane · 14/11/2018 00:16

I liked it -other than the last couple of seasons.

TBH - if it didn’t grab you in the first couple of episodes, it’s probably not for you. It’s not exactly a slow burn Grin

Aridane · 14/11/2018 00:16

In the last series, the characters just ‘declaim’, they don’t speak

Aridane · 14/11/2018 00:16

Plus Donna is as annoying as fuck

Iaimtomisbehave1 · 14/11/2018 00:18

No. The many hours you spend watching will be a waste and hours you won’t ever get back.

SlowlyShrinking · 14/11/2018 00:20

I gave up quite quickly. Life’s too short.

fatbrows · 14/11/2018 00:23

I looove that show but if you don't like it that's okay. Don't waste time just to try and get into it.

If White Collar is still on, that's good fun. Drool worthy lead and a new escapade every episode, I really enjoyed it.

Eminybob · 14/11/2018 06:46

I enjoyed it from the beginning, but stopped watching about series 5, partly because we got rid of Netflix (although I could have watched it by other means) and partly because it was getting a bit boring.
I think if you don’t like it by now you never will.

I've just finished watching the Korean remake of Suits....

It was really good though i think it lost a bit in the translation.... however it's only 16 eps long (Korean tv seems to only commit to one season no matter how good the series is received...) thus all the storylines are pretty well tied up and it doesn't drag on and on... also the Mike Ross character is very very swoonsome! ... Grin

I've fallen down a Korean drama rabbit hole recently and although it might not be to all tastes it really is wonderful escapsim and quite fun to watch how different cultures create a narrative... if you're intrigued...
