When Sammy gets back from nursery he's immediately on the TV. I feel like he should be going outside a bit more and living a littlr. It seems to be that Sammy is on Netflix a lot. His favourite shows are Care bears and couins and Danger Mouse. I dont know whether to block those TV shows or get rid of Netflix altogether. He's 3 so i dont know whether this is normal.

Please get back to me on this one for i am in urgent need of advice for him

Can you not just turn it off? He's 3. He's not in charge.

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:25

He gets into big tantrums and i don't know how to deal with him like that

perhaps you could limit it, he is undoubtedly tired after a morning at nursery.
limit with a timer.
then come up with a plan to do something together.

Slartybartfast · 20/07/2018 13:25

Slartybartfast · 20/07/2018 13:29

I am not sure how long, however long it takes you to get ready to either take him out, or find something to do with him

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:30

WooYa · 20/07/2018 13:34

I wouldn't go for 45 mins, maybe 30? You could go to the library and get a book? Make crispy cakes? Or play hide and seek? Or make something crafty - boats, hats, kites. Or an indoor obstacle course? Over a chair then under a table... I'm full of ideas 😂

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:34

I know but how do i type with them i cant seem to get them on my messages

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:35

An indoor obstacle course seems way too hardcore for my precious sweetheart he's not doing that

OP posts:
Slartybartfast · 20/07/2018 13:38

outdoor obstacle course is good

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:38

Slartybartfast · 20/07/2018 13:40

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:40

Another idea is a couple times a week have an activity all set up for when he gets in. Something like play dough or a shop, tell him on the way home that there's something for him to see when he gets home. You will probably have to sit with him and play otherwise he will probably quickly lose interest if he's used to zoning out in front of the tv. There is a website and Instagram page called Playhooray which has loads of ideas for quick and easy things to set up.

Kookychloe1234 · 20/07/2018 13:44

OK thanks yeh I'll set something up for him maybe also inviting his friends round so they're being sociabl and active
