Flight binge watching - Curb Your Enthusiasm

I was on an overnight flight last night and didn't even attempt to sleep.

Instead, I watched all 9 episodes of season 9 of the brilliant Curb and laughed like a drain throughout.

On the way back from the airport, I mentioned this to dh and told him I am actually in love with Larry David. He said he is not remotely surprised as he has often thought we are essentially the same person . He has a point...

I also watched 3 episodes of Modern Family which is SO crap in comparison.

Op we luurrrve CYE in our house although have zoned out a bit on the latest namely season 9 at least I think it's that season. Got a bit bored as find it a bit daft but may go back to it. Aside from that it's awesome the other reasons. He's a fucking genius. I admire his bluntness. I've been a bit more upfront and blunt at times on the back of my admiration of his ability to tell people what he thinks. I identify with him a lot ie the way he easily gets bored of both people and situations 😁😁😁😁

I did exactly this on a 14 hour flight last year. I laughed so much my husband watched back to back episodes on the return flight. Love Larry David and how he manages to get himself into so much bother without even trying.

I was sniggering demurely, then realised everyone was either asleep or wearing noise-cancelling headphones - so I let myself properly laugh.

It was such a treat after almost a month in the USA, where I always find most of the locals have had a sense of humour bypass, to watch an American show that is sarcastic and witty.

I am normally demented on long flights, but this made the time pass very nicely.
