Why would you go on the telly with an embarassing illness ???? How much do you reckon they are paid to reveal their embarassing illnesses on public TV

(I have never watched this prog by the way as it makes me cringe)

i watched it, it was very interesting.

it wasn't that bad but there was a man who had lived with the worse piles for 20 years, he didn't want to see his doctor about it but was willing to show thousands of people? didn't quite get that

moondog · 24/05/2007 21:07

lol
Did he really show his arse to camera???

noseynora · 24/05/2007 21:08

Don't get the "look good naked" programme (or whatever it's called) either. If you can't stand to see yourself naked in your own bedroom mirror - why go on tv and strip of fgs!

southeastastra · 24/05/2007 21:08

yes! he was on his side and they parted his buttocks. it was very red

moondog · 24/05/2007 21:09

Oh my God!!

southeastastra · 24/05/2007 21:10

he had an operation and showed his healed bum at the end. you can download it on 4

Posey · 24/05/2007 21:11

I missed the piles.
Saw the chap with a sore penis. 10 years it was sore. He put up with it all that time, then whipped it out on national telly

I'll give it a miss thanks SEA.
All the same, prog. sounds bizarrely compulsive.Poor chap with a dicky dick.

BettySpaghetti · 24/05/2007 21:12

This was on in the background earlier -until, that is, the 70+ year old gentleman started talking about his foreskin tightening and his circumcision .

If the programme is as graphic as you're suggesting I'm glad I switched over when I did

noseynora · 24/05/2007 21:13

10 years?? what was wrong with it then?

moondog · 24/05/2007 21:13

Yes, what was the penile problem???

Posey · 24/05/2007 21:17

The circumcision wasn't done properly (it was done because his foreskin became tight) and it got all ulcerated and infected because he couldn't clean it properly
He got the job done again and it all cleared up.

noseynora · 24/05/2007 21:20

But 10 years?? Gawd, bet that was a bit whiffy. Yeuch.

southeastastra · 24/05/2007 21:23

poor thing!

they also had a roomful of teenage boys checking their bits, they just got on with it!

in a way i think it will make more people go to the doctors instead of waiting so long.

Posey · 24/05/2007 21:30

SEA - I think we were watching different ones! I didn't see any teenage boys, I had a group of hockey playing women examining their breasts.

southeastastra · 24/05/2007 21:35

yes i only saw the first one. it's not that bad to watch is it? sort of matter of fact

MummyPenguin · 25/05/2007 10:36

It is gross, this programme. I was PMSL laughing last night at the old boy getting his crusty old knob out!!

ledodgy · 25/05/2007 10:38

I love this prog!

wuzzlefraggle · 25/05/2007 12:33

LOL @ pile ridden undercarriage

bananabump · 25/05/2007 12:39

Noooo the old guy with the sore knob looked like Father Christmas, and honestly, it was so incredibly vile it put me right off my hobnob.

I felt violated.

Didn't understand why the girl went there with her bunions though...surely bunions aren't embarassing?

expatinscotland · 25/05/2007 12:40

gawd after watching this, I think doctors and nurses should get a raise for having to touch stuff like that.

gag.

bananabump · 25/05/2007 13:01

I was thinking that too. I was also thinking that I wouldn't really like that pretty doctor with the spray tan to be looking at my sore wobbly/dangly/leaky bits (much less on national television)

My doctor is a bit of a minger, which somehow helps immensely when I go in with something icky.
