I'm off to C5 for Cagney and Lacey, maybe I should start a thread for the summer break

MadisonAvenue · 25/06/2018 15:10

Just reading through before I watch.

Yes, schools DO call if a pupil doesn't turn up for an exam. I know that from experience when my son failed to turn up for one. He'd stayed at the girlfriend from hell's house the night before his Law A level and apparently none of the three alarms he set went off (still think to this day that she turned them off as she didn't want him to go to university). School called me 10 minutes before the exam was due to start to see if he'd left for it, I didn't know! What I also didn't know was that schools are able to delay the start of an exam so they actually did this for him and he arrived 25 minutes late but was still able to sit it.
