Yay red
Normally I don't like football but I shall be here, home alone watching tonight.

How are you and raahh doing?

redshoeblueshoe · 11/07/2018 14:21

Tonight I'm having a night off so Gareth's boys had better win

I will be with you in spirit Fuzzy,
Wine that's for later

Raahh · 11/07/2018 14:29

Fuzzy afternoon! Thank you for asking- we are plodding on here.

I am taking my mind off things by watching tennis- and hoping it doesn't clash with the football later, or I will be relegated to dd1's stinky bedroom Grin.

FuzzyCustard · 11/07/2018 14:41

I think it's a shame you don't live near me (I assume, as I live near nobody!) or we could all footle off down the pub together and entertain ourselves during the boring bits of the football with amusing chat

SubtitlesOn · 11/07/2018 15:19

well well well......

redshoeblueshoe · 11/07/2018 15:29

well indeed
thanks sub, I think I need lessons on how to use Twitter

redshoeblueshoe · 12/07/2018 19:51

yay Manchester has rain
I never thought I'd be happy to say that

Raahh · 12/07/2018 19:57

red you just made me look out of my patio- and disappointingly, this bit of Manchester doesn't Grin (though it's been cooler, and cloudy today).

Raahh · 12/07/2018 20:31

Ooh! it must have rained in the last 10 minutes whilst I was upstairs.

Not much, mind you, but my car is wet Grin

redshoeblueshoe · 12/07/2018 20:55

It didn't last long here Raahh. I was hoping for about 3 full days of it

Raahh · 12/07/2018 20:59

red Grin

toldmywrath · 12/07/2018 22:32

No rain here. All the grass is brown and dusty. Last Thursday there was an absolute deluge in a nearby town (Tunbridge Wells) and twenty minutes of torrential rain just a mile from here. We so need it.

redshoeblueshoe · 12/07/2018 23:48

Sadly we only had about 10 minutes of drizzle

Raahh · 13/07/2018 08:58

Proper rain over night and this morning- mt garden now appears to have grown 6 inches and I'm kicking myself for not cutting it yesterday Grin

toldmywrath · 13/07/2018 09:08

Raahh I've heard that you shouldn't cut your grass in a drought, that's my excuse.
Get the All England tennis groundsman round, they seem obsessed with snipping millimetres. Grin

toldmywrath · 13/07/2018 09:09

Man/Men autocorrect...

Raahh · 13/07/2018 09:22

told that sounds like it is good plan. It's been too hot to cut it- but the problem I've got now- is it in shade nearly all the time and will probably take weeks to dry out again Grin

I'd love a nice lawn. Actually, no, that's a lie. I'd like to concrete over the whole thing- I hate gardeningGrin.

Was a bit worried about the Wimbledon grass, it's looked brown on some courts since the first Monday!

redshoeblueshoe · 13/07/2018 11:27

I'm so glad that we haven't let the little issue of Doctors having an extended break interfere with the continuation of this thread Grin

Raahh · 13/07/2018 11:31

Red oh no- I have to have somewhere to come an talk to myself Grin. Especially now the tennis I can 'watch' rather than just follow on line is coming to an end for a while.

We might even need a new thread, just from filling this one up with 'weather around the UK' reports Grin.

toldmywrath · 13/07/2018 14:59

Raahh I know you love your tennis. I've already thought of a witty retort if Isner loses.
Said in a Scottish burr
" Kevin Anderson is through to the final but John Isner"
bboom tish

toldmywrath · 13/07/2018 15:00

Blimey he's tall, wonder what we'd look like in a line up with him. Grin

toldmywrath · 13/07/2018 15:01

Hello redshoe how's the weather round your neck of the woods? Are you in the North West too? As well as Raahh, not me I'm down sarf.

toldmywrath · 13/07/2018 15:02
Tennis
Raahh · 13/07/2018 15:51

told Grin

I really hope that is true. Can't stand Isner. Who is 2 feet and 2 inches taller than me.

Raahh · 13/07/2018 15:52

I'd just look really really short. More so than normal Grin.
