I'm not sure why Alex is on the show, he's a fish out of water. If I was him, I'd be feigning illness and going home because it's getting embarrassing, particularly the way the other guys are carrying on about him getting with any girl! I don't think it's the show for him and I don't think any of the girls will suit him, there all carbon copies. I also don't understand why was he after Meghan at all (other than for self preservation) I can't see him bringing her home to his mammy in reality!

Hi! First time watching LI and wanted to join your thread your comments about the drinking and sex being toned down makes me want to go back and watch earlier seasons haha

I like Dani and Jack. Georgia looks like fun and reminds me of me when I was younger. Hate Megan and Adam, I don't even think he's fit!

I agree that Alex looks very awkward trying to look and act Essex... Why is he even on the show?! Doesn't seem like the sort of person that would want to go on it.

I was cringing with Alex and his 'cars' comments. He is trying too hard, it's like bad acting. I can't see any newbies being too interested from now on as he's literally tried it with any new girls.

Last week I thought Alex was just a nice guy who was bit awkward and not as confident as the other lads and just needed the right girl to come in, but now he's verging into cringe territory. He's pouncing on any female that enters the villa in desperation. He talks to them like he's conducting a job interview. I really doubt any of them have been his usual type at all, and while I understand the aim of the game is to be coupled up, he seems to be clinging on to anything now just be with someone. "I love cars" was cringe. He may as well have said he also loves breathing and therefore they were the perfect match.

I feel like Ellie was saying what she wanted Alex to hear with the whole, "I'm career-focused but also love the idea of being a wifey" shit. She's watched the show before going in so she's aware Alex is looking for someone to take home to mum and she'll look good with the public if she couples up with him.

On another note, Georgia is annoying.

I feel sorry for Alex, he must be feeling which is making him appear quite desperate. I know the boys mean well supporting and helping him but I think it bordering on patronising and making Alex feel pressured. I don’t think he has any chance with Zara seeing as her type is a ‘bad boy’. He might have a slight chance with Ellie as she actually sounded more down to earth when they were chatting though I don’t think she’s into him.
I hope they send in some girls who are a bit older and more Alex’s type. I hope a guy comes in for Samira too!

The doc has 1 geniune friend in there Jack. That's only because he's in a rock solid relationship and feels secure.

I doubt Jack will ever be really tested in there so he's smug about helping Dr Molly Cuddle as he knows any success the Dr has will never be at his expense. Or maybe Jack is just a nice guy.

Tonight's episode looks interesting with Wes telling that new blond girl she's exactly his type after telling the other guys how loved up he was with Laura.

My first time watching after all my friends raved about the last series. I quite enjoyed the first week but getting a bit bored now.

The Alex situation is so cringe. He will seriously just try it on with anyone who comes in. If you were genuinely looking for love surely you’d be a bit picky. Hayley annoyed me but at least she didn’t fake it to stay on the show.

Sadly I also agree with others about Dani not being into jack. I think she likes him as a friend and wants to like him romantically but you can tell by her body language when they kiss that she’s not feeling it. Shame as they are hilarious together.

I liked Rosie for two minutes when she called Adam out but now, just no.

Yes also getting a bit bored of it now, didn’t even watch catch up until 11pm. Literally watching them sit around having the same convos over and over again.

Come on LI give us a bit more fun, seems like they have hardly had any challenges either

Hayley and Charlie were just on This Morning. The whole "we hate each other" us such a set up by the producers. Hayley admitted as much. I actually feel sorry for Hayley and Charlie having to do all these scripted shit interviews.

Those of you who have never watched before and are bored... if you face Netflix series 1 and 2 are on there and I would highly recommend watching them! Last year will hopefully go on there at some point too

I think the producers need to back off with their direct instructions and meddling as it's pretty obvious at the moment. They need to let the personalities show more. They're all so bland.

Yes last few seasons were much more fun - while I appreciate them not smoking and not saying fuck every 20 seconds, it has clearly been sanitised because they realised how many kids were watching it. Give us our LI back!

DP said his 13 yo was watching it this year and I was a bit judgey about it, but actually (apart from last nights talk about Adam and Rosie) there hasn’t been anything I’d want to hide from a young teen. Obviously the very premise of a bunch of vacuous self-obsessed social media influencers shagging each other isn’t really kids TV but the actual content has been very tame this year.

And yes, it all feels a bit forced.

I’m just hoping “I’m mad me” Georgia goes home soon, very annoying!

Thanks for the Netflix tip! I only started watching this year after all the hype from it (and I have a baby so don't get out in the evenings now ) and I was wondering why everyone loved it.

I think Hayley has come over far better in interviews than in the house.

Alex is clearly on the show to create a second income stream and to try and bang a model.

I think that the "Wes having his head turned" story line is just to inject a bit of drama. I think he'll stick with Laura ... But I've been wrong before!

Definitely don't think Dani is into Jack. I've thought that since the beginning, she treats him like a brother.
New girls could be interesting, I don't think either will go for Alex.

I've downloaded series 2 as I only saw last years and a bit of series 1. Only on episode 1 and already it's more fun!

Series 2 was the best one!

Hello all, I’m watching but not commenting as I’m overseas and watching on a 24 hour delay and trying to avoid spoilers. I couldn’t restrain myself on the Zara bigging up her job though - that job title that a pp found on Linked In, it’s a junior position. Without a degree and straight out of school she’ll have started at the bottom, or near. She may well have been promoted in that time but she is most definitely not working independently, making decisions etc. She is likely doing minutes, responding to correspondence, gathering info and doing some analysis for others to see and act upon.
I feel a bit petty for saying it, but people (including me!) have worked their arses off in the civil service and I feel like she’s presenting a skewed picture.

Checking in. I haven't seen it in a couple of days but might try to watch it on catch up tonight. I don't know how people manage to watch it at 9, my DH wouldn't watch it in a fit!

I agree that there's very little you couldn't show a 12 year old. I don't particularly care for actual real shagging on reality shows, so I have no objection to the lack of it tbh. I just think there needs to be a lot more BB-like challenges, cos 8 weeks of watching them sit around squinting into the sun is going to be brutal.

Also really really hope a girl goes in who makes a beeline for Jack. Shake Dani up a bit.

Have the new people been allowed to watch it? If I had and knew Jack was such a fan fave, I'd be on him like a flash.
