Amazon originals for kids are great

I have found Amazon Originals for kids are great for my tweens. Very very safe, not at all edgy, wholesome, bit funny, nice. Just Add Magic is great. Like a nice boring soap. And the American Girl series is amazing - basically stories about 9-11 yo girls set in different periods of recent American history. My daughter loves them.

Melody 1963 is about a young black girl in the middle of the era of fighting for civil rights. A brilliantly pitched story, doesn't shy away from all the difficult issues but not too horrible for my 11 year old to understand.
