Sorry if this thread has already been done.
I only caught the last 15 minutes - was Poppy's mum a total control freak "training" her daughter, or was Poppy SN?

Poppy's mum was 45 when she had Poppy,I think, and had just split up with her partner when she found out she was pg.

She was unrealistic wasn't she ?

tbh she wasn't the classic control freak as they wouldn't have let anyone else look after Poppy.

I bet she herself struggled to achieve the timetable she set out for the au-pair, before she employed her so it was a bit mean to demand it day in day out from someone else.

She said that she had had to economise and get rid of the dog-walker and someone else (possibly the cleaner) and so she was hoping to get the au-pair to do these jobs too which I thought was a bit cheeky.

Poppy wasn't special needs, in her mothers words she was a "bright button"
