Arrested Development S4 remix - anyone watched?

I’ve been a huge fan since S1 but despite repeated attempts I’ve never been able to get more gem halfway through S4. Its just not good IMO. Just discovered the original version was replaced nearly a month ago with a new version - shorter episodes and done chronologically.

Has anyone seen it? Is it better?

I watched it. I think I actually preferred the original season 4, although I do agree with you it wasn't at all up to the standards of 1-3. I thought the recut into shorter episodes would help, but it didn't, really. With the longer cut, even with the problems, I think it did all fit together quite cleverly - with each episode you got some more pieces and you could see it all coming together. And I think that was lost with the new recut series. Probably not explaining very well

I do find S4 very funny in parts, a lot of GOB's storyline was great.

When S4 came out I had two very tiny twins and I don’t think my brain was up to it - I got halfway through several times. I’m watching the edit and there’s a lot of funny stuff, but you can just tell it’s not supposed to be shown as it is! Wish I’d finished it before now.

I’m half way through watching the recut version and I really want to like it but just can’t. There are some good moments but jeez Michael is such a dick it’s hard to watch. From the brief bits I’ve read about season 5 that isn’t great either. Such a shame as 1-3 were brilliant.
