Not much longer to wait out for the Nigeria episodes! Some of us are still mourning the death of Elvis.

Evening all. Will be with you at 9pm.

Hi Dance, nice to hear from you although, it's a shame, as you say, that we can't be raving about the current series - or at least in a good way.

I have to agree with all the comments on here about the series. I don't mind watching it and being such a long-term fan I can't imagine I would ever not watch BUT it does sadly seem to be repeating itself and stretching belief even as far as a drama goes - so sorry to say so. I seriously wouldn't mind a little bit more domestic drama to contrast with the timescale-confusing tours abroad. I've also always found the timescales difficult to understand and thought it needed a few more signposts to time-passing.

It seems to me that the loss of Molly after series 1 and now Elvis after series 3 (part 1) have caused problems for the storylines . I can't really see another series after these 8 episodes are done and certainly not for a medic in the army. Maisie's story as a female front-line soldier might be more interesting to explore but I can't imagine they are going to be sent to many more exotic locations.

If CJ doesn't leave and quite soon, I 'd be astounded. As for Bones, I hope he grows on me but I'm not too impressed yet and can't imagine Georgie will be either. Mind you, I agree with his assessment of everything that happened in episode 2.

polarbear I think Bones is probably the same rank as CJ and Elvis i.e. a captain. I don't think anyone actually said but it was implied.

Bonnefoi · 14/06/2018 20:29

My tuppence worth, now that I’ve watched episode 2 is: in what army would a Corporal order around not one but two Captains. However, drama not reality, bla, bla, etc. Hmm

Still no Molly mentions, so I might be sulking about that. Confused

However, having watched the trailer for episode 3, done some Twitter digging, and read an interview or two...I think CJ maybe get injured and feverish. So maybe we might get some high fever mumblings about Molly?

In my defence I recognise I am way too invested in this and need to get a life. Blush

Bonnefoi · 14/06/2018 20:37

Actually, I think some fanfiction.net might be necessary to de-sulk. Grin

Ready to go. And we're off!

Meanwhile back at the World Cup!

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:02

Whoops she did it again....!

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:03

Just to mention Bones' rank again, I am sure I read somewhere that he is a captain.

I had to turn away when they were beating the Nigerian medic.

This is really nasty stuff - poor Adwole.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:04

So, going back to Bones - CJ must definitely have known him the first time he saw him but he cant have known what he was doing or did he?

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:04

Oh the delightful Bones. Wait for it, CJ, he's going to give you hell.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:05

You are truly in the ....Sh*t CJ.

Enter Mr Angry!

eejittwo · 14/06/2018 21:05

eejit managed to click on ep 1 instead of ep 2, so I'm a tad behind

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:06

He definitely recognised him and I reckon he knew he was undercover because he pretended to Georgie that he didn't know who he was. Didn't he just say "W*nker?" to Georgie?

Love Bones' comment about being in Nigeria on holiday.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:06

Bones is very unprofessional when he later criticises CJ infront of the rest of Two Section.

Coffins and Brize Norton - CJ knows about that doesn't he!

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:06

I think Elvis was pretty good at throwaway lines too. Maybe it's an SF speciality.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:06

Bet pix was loving this SF action and beardy man!

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:07

"We're here to help!"

Time to fib about it Kingy.

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:08

You would really think Georgie would be sh*t scared and wanting to keep her mouth shut. I know I would! She should know with experience what these terrorists can do. Sorry, I know it's a plot device but it's not realistic at all.

Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:08

Oh dear Georgie..guess what they've got in mind for you. Yes ilove this is a bit more like you imagined the first time with Georgie.

eejittwo · 14/06/2018 21:09

Do like spanner.

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:09

Oh here's lovely Peanut. What a great guy.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 14/06/2018 21:09

They don't seem too bothered about Georgie do they.

Good old Peanut!

Ilovelblue · 14/06/2018 21:10

Great line! "Best d*ckhead SF have to offer!"

I didn't really care for Kingy at first in series 2 but I've really warmed to him as the episodes have progressed.
