So awful. The police know. The family broke my heart.
The killers..still on the loose.
Awful.

It made me angry but also dreadfully sad. The poor husband looked as if he simply didn't want to go on living. Truly sad.

KenDoddsDadsDogIsDead · 14/05/2018 22:50

Made me cry.

OyO · 14/05/2018 22:57

Yes, it has really touched me. Such a wonderful, dedicated and hardworking couple. Then his whole world is changed.

I really hope he takes himself on some of those adventures they had planned for their retirement.

I would be interested to know if the burglaries on the Chinese community stopped after the suspects were arrested or if they carried on regardless. Very upsetting that they didn't have enough to prosecute.

Mariele · 14/05/2018 23:01

Very upsetting Sad
I'm absolutely raging that the fuckers couldn't be prosecuted Angry

SirVixofVixHall · 14/05/2018 23:03

Tragic. Such a lovely family destroyed. It really was heartbreaking.

ilovecardigans · 14/05/2018 23:38

Deeply sad and moving case. That poor, poor family. I was so sure the police would find enough evidence to nail the bastards.

Back in 2001 we had wonderful Chinese neighbours who were burgled (thankfully nobody was at home) and they were very definitely targeted. The scum who robbed them absolutely wrecked their home and I can still remember the wife sitting weeping on her front step at the devastation. I don't know if anyone was ever brought to justice for the crime.

Wingedharpy · 15/05/2018 01:37

I saw it too and found it extremely moving.
The husband and son of the lady who died conducted themselves with such dignity that it added to the poignancy somehow.
The scene where her husband was making tea for his dead wife was heart breaking.
It must be so frustrating for the police to have almost caught the perpetrators- but not quite.
The guilty parties have to live with themselves and I only hope that one day they experience the anguish they brought to an innocent family.

purpleme12 · 15/05/2018 07:34

It was so sad. Awful.
And awful that they never got caught

SirVixofVixHall · 15/05/2018 09:05

Agree the decency and dignity of her husband and son was so moving. She must have been so proud of her wonderful son. What a senseless and cruel death, we can only hope that at some point the killers are put away.

problembottom · 15/05/2018 09:12

I found this utterly heartbreaking. The scumbags were probably watching it and laughing. Hmm

AornisHades · 15/05/2018 09:19

It was very sad. I wish their story could have been told in happier circumstances because they'd led such interesting lives.
Obviously it is horrible that the men that did it have got away without any consequence. Hopefully somehow they'll get what they deserve.

Rainbowtrees · 15/05/2018 09:20

It was heartbreaking, the way the husband and son handled themselves made it even more heartbreaking. It’s so frustrating that they knew how did it but couldn’t prove it.

FatBallsAndSunflowerSeeds · 16/05/2018 11:47

It was incredibly sad and infuriating. Those arrogant, swaggering, utterly immoral cunts, I hope they get what's coming to them soon.

vjg13 · 17/05/2018 20:22

Agree it was incredibly moving and absolutely heart breaking. I thought the Police were going to give good news at the final meeting and it was so poignant when the Father thanked the Police officer for his hard work.
