Not seen a thread about it yet, so I just wondered if anyone was watching? BBC1 2.15-3pm weekdays.

I'm so glad you started a thread on this.

I've been LOVING it. I found it on iplayer - it was recommended to me after I watched Keeping Faith. I might have spent a few days watching 2 or 3 day (:-) ) and have now caught up, so am now watching daily.

It's just such a joyful watch - it's funny, with brilliant characters, all of whom I really 'like' - wonderfully written and fantastically well acted - there's such lovely chemistry between everyone.
It bothered me ever so slightly to start with that George was a sort of perfect mix between Kiefer Sutherland and Kevin Bacon, but I think I've got over that.

I think Woody is my favourite character - he just always says exactly the right thing to diffuse any situation - and there have been emotional moments (I've had a lump in my throat a couple of times) - but they are all fab.

Loved the date episode last week ("that's her mating laugh" - made me laugh out loud).
I'll be very sad if it ends at the end of season 2 (looks like there's 24 eps in S2 though). It's a lovely antidote to all the doomy gloomy tense stuff around just now.

We've become strangely addicted in this house. I must admit I'm still a bit Confused about the episode where they were chatting on the beach with nothing on, we'd only just started watching at that point.

Love woody.....of course.

MissWimpyDimple · 30/04/2018 11:57

Yes I'm addicted to it too! Series link and watching in the evening. It's helping me stay cold turkey on Eastenders 😊

Blit · 30/04/2018 22:18

Help! Whilst I'm really enjoying this, I can't help feeling totally confused by the proliferation of gorgeous women who all look rather similar and mostly appear to have had sex with George.

Is he responsible for the pregnant blonde lady at the end of todays episode?

daffodilbrain · 30/04/2018 22:33

Another fan who found it on iPlayer after keeping faith. Can't tell any difference between Aussie and kiwi accents though!

Bugjune · 02/05/2018 00:41

The Kiwis have confused vowels, the Aussies don't.

MissWimpyDimple · 02/05/2018 07:31

Yes! Jan (pregnant woman) is Georges dead wife's best friend. She came to visit and they got together. They then decided to just be friends but obviously this isn't the end of it!

Blit · 02/05/2018 12:04

Thank you Dimple , interesting.

longtompot · 02/05/2018 23:21

So nice to see I am not the only fan. Just watched todays one, the dinner party, which was fun. Good on Arlo for standing up to what he believes in. I was slightly worried when his gf left he would think he was the big I AM and get all cocky, but he hasn't. I am not sure George and Fiona are the real thing. They seem a lovely couple, but I do feel for Katie. When do you reckon Jan will tell George about the pregnancy?
Anyway, such a refreshing daytime tv programme with stunning scenery to boot.

I like the woman in the newspaper office. Loved her small talk - "we were thinking about getting a new table...then we decided not to".

Bugjune · 03/05/2018 11:56

Haha, she's my favourite Floral! So deliciously awkward, she reminds me a bit of the Log Lady from Twin Peaks for some reason.

MissWimpyDimple · 04/05/2018 05:55

Yep love her too. Made even better by the fact she's a ex-con!

I used to like Fiona. I'm now starting to find her constant moany face annoying.

I'm hanging out for the baby reveal. That's going to be good!

FloralCup · 05/05/2018 19:36

I'm quite liking Sean now - the planning officer/council man - such a jobsworth!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2018 20:56

I’m loving this. Simple easy watching

BBC often do good dramas 2pm ish

ConstantStruggler · 13/05/2018 19:48

ConstantStruggler · 13/05/2018 19:49

jensner · 13/05/2018 19:53

Looking for something new to watch on the iplayer - too late for series one - could I start with series two??

ConstantStruggler · 13/05/2018 20:34

You can get series one on Amazon
But I think it's easy enough to catch up. Any questions post on here 😁

jensner · 13/05/2018 21:58

@ConstantStruggler - we don't have Amazon (or Netflix) - we're very quaint and old-fashioned!! Will give series 2 a go. Thanks!

ConstantStruggler · 13/05/2018 22:10

@Jensner. Just start watching. It's really great. And if confused just ask on here (about series one. No spoilers 😁).

trickyboots · 13/05/2018 22:12

love it. its like a more adult/ interesting home and away. Pure escapism.

Cherrypie32 · 14/05/2018 07:18

So Wikipedia suggests there is a Season 3 but presumably BBC haven’t bought it yet??

MissWimpyDimple · 14/05/2018 14:32

Gutted! I didn't know it wasn't carrying on! We'll never know who the father was 😮

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 14/05/2018 19:27

I found it on catchup and binged. I think there is another series on the go since then but haven’t found it yet.
