Series recommendations?

I seem to have exhausted all my favourite tv programs and as someone who is 12 weeks pregnant and just wants to veg out in the evenings I need something good to watch!

Series I loved:

  • The Bridge
  • Breaking Bad
  • Luther
  • Grey's Anatomy
  • Private Practice

I can't stand American comedies and have a pretty dry sense of humour. Love grit!

Any suggestions?

greenleaf

MonsoonMama · 27/04/2018 18:17

Keeping Faith on iPlayer - Eve Myles in the lead role is outstanding

shartsi · 27/04/2018 18:26

Kimlo I liked season one of Greenleaf but couldn't watch beyond episode 2 of season 2. Is the rest of the season worth watching?

kimlo · 27/04/2018 18:55

I haven't got round to watching series 2 yet. I'll be dissapointed though if I don't like it.

As a fan of Greys, Scandal is the obvious next choice.

But for me the two best things I've seen this year are :

Dark

Manhunt : Unabomber

Both Netflix

Dark is German which puts some off

Jessica Jones Season 1 was amazing, Season 2 has been a disappointment so far

The Wire or The West Wing if you've never done them

The Alienist. I'm hooked!

amyj1994 · 30/04/2018 13:43

The Sopranos!

Brassidium · 30/04/2018 13:44

Westworld was absolutely brilliant. Now starting series 2.

Brassidium · 30/04/2018 13:45

Stranger things of course.

NameChangeBiatch · 01/05/2018 19:06

Ooh Brassidium, just started Westworld, totally hooked.

StylishDuck · 01/05/2018 21:10

Suits
The Good Wife
Mad Men
Line of Duty

Elizajulie · 01/05/2018 21:18

If you liked breaking bad then you will love Better call Saul. It's very good.

pigaletta · 01/05/2018 21:22

Mad Men is our current favourite, I spent most of today looking forward to getting stuck into another episode (or three Blush). I absolutely loved River too - watched it on Netflix but not sure if it’s still on there

onlyconnect · 01/05/2018 21:25

Seven Seconds on Netflix is gritty and really good.

DoneAdulting · 01/05/2018 22:14

Sons of Anarchy is brilliant
