Anyone watching? I love Greys (although not so much recently) so had high hopes, but I'm really not sure. Will probably watch a few episodes to give it a chance but not blowing me away.

I watched it . It is watchable for the want of a better word .
Have you seen The Resident , that’s really enjoyable ?

iheartmichellemallon · 21/04/2018 11:55

Yes, watched first episode of the Resident - enjoyed that more.

Watchable is probably the word for Station 19. Seems weird that she was working for her dad & then he can just promote her?

Yes all a bit odd really . Second episode of the resident is good

iheartmichellemallon · 21/04/2018 11:59

I'm just about to watch it now Grin

Disliked The Resident so much that I couldn't even get to the end of the pilot.

Station 19 seems more promising, although it's harder to follow than Grey's as they're wearing masks in a smoke-filled room half the time.

ValleyClouds · 21/04/2018 14:25

Not finished the episode yet, but I am finding it rather painful lots of dialogue signposting such as "it's my husbands recipe" so that you know he's a gay character. Chief and his daughter etc.

I've wondered about Jason George and Shonda before she seems absolutely determined to make him a star. She took him off Greys to make him a lead in Off The Map which tanked, then had him working backstage on Scandal, then back on Greys and now another leading role.

He isn't even that good of an actor.

Stop trying to make Jason George happen Shonda! It's not going to happen!

It is watchable, and fairly entertaining, but nowhere near as good as Chicago Fire, I’m afraid.

iheartmichellemallon · 21/04/2018 15:30

I love Chicago Fire!

Finished it now. Felt dated and like it was reproducing successful tropes/formula from Greys. Will give it a bit longer but can't see it lasting.

GreySloanMemorial · 21/04/2018 18:48

I love Greys and was thinking about watching it but now I’m not so sure...

iheartmichellemallon · 21/04/2018 19:42

Dated is a good way to describe it Valley - maybe that's what's putting me off. I will watch a few though in case it picks up but I'm unlikely to stick with it. GA had me from the very first episode but this definitely doesn't.

I just watched episode 2 & actually really enjoyed it - hoping it keeps getting better.

I also was a bit 'meh' about the first episode. Will watch the next one though to give it a chance.

Agree Chicago Fire is much better Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/04/2018 10:19

I thought the second episode was better too, @iheartmichellemallon.

Hasn't Bailey's baby boy grown up fast!!

confuddledconfuddle · 26/04/2018 10:51

I've watched about 6/7 episodes now and it does get better! I think it just takes time to get to know the characters.

TheSecondOfHerName · 27/04/2018 16:16

I agree that the second episode of Station 19 was better than the first.
