I'm going to watch it again, but did I just hear that the reason that children go in for violent crime is absent fathers, and the solution is policing the children or getting them into hobbies. NOT making the bloody absent parents accountable?

It's made me so angry.

I'm pretty sure that one of the men correlated crime with absent fathers.

No the journalist, Ian, did say that. All his alternatives, stop and search, didn't say that the absent fathers should be held accountable.

But the lack of decent father figures IS one of the causes of anti social behaviour, including violence ! Along with the cuts to the social services, cuts to policing etc.

I agree with you , accountable and no thought of consequences is lacking in so many people, look at all the stabbing in London.
