The Bridge - Saga's scar

We're new to The Bridge and are currently watching all the episodes from Series One on Catch Up, thanks to Mumsnet letting me know!

I've noticed Saga's scar above her lip. Is it real or is it make up for the part?
She also rubs her gum every now and then, mostly when she's stressed so I wasn't sure if the scar was from an accident and it bothers her every now and then?

I'd be interested if anyone knows please. Thanks.

Ooh thought this was an announcement about a new series! From what I can remember the scar is the actresses own, she's brilliant isn't she. Off to Google now whether they're making any more.

It is real. She was knocked off her bike by a car in her early 20s

Ooh it looks like series four will be on soon! Will see if I can fit a series 1-3 binge in first Grin

Thank you, so now I know! I did think it was as it would be quite difficult to put on each time with make up in exactly the same place.

I think she's brilliant, she makes us laugh as she's so black and white.
I just wish she'd have a shower now and then, and take those leather trousers off!

I now know about Saga's scar thank you but what about how she now and then sort of massages her front gum? Is something going on with that please?

I think the massaging of the gum is ‘snus’ - a Swedish form of tobacco that is put under the lip.

Really - well I never knew that!

Thank you Katealana.
