Did anyone watch Daphne last night?

Quite good I thought. Janet McTeer was wonderful.

i started watching it but fell asleep on the sofa, watched the documentary about her before hand

I enjoyed looking at the buildings they used as much as anything else.

Also enjoyed the husband's character - thought he was convincingly awful and weak.

Did it have any good boats or shots of the Cornish coast in it?

I watched it. Wasn't convinced that Gertie was the love of her life though. Didn't think that rang true.

There's a really good biography of her Margaret Forster, if you're interested in DdM. Thought it was funny that Rick Stein in the programme before poured scorn on the idea of her being lesbian.

I dipped in and out of the Rick Stein programme but thought that was funny too.

looking forward to watching it later.
