Squeaky new thread for tomorrow's final

Kenny was my second choice after Alex so I’m happy. DH called him as the winner from the first day so he is super smug now!

zizza I'll do some digging and report back here if I find out.

Pleased with the Kenny win, but based on the series overall I wouldn't have been disappointed with David winning either.

I was an Alex fan, so went in to this not bothered who won but I honestly thought Nawamin would walk it even though I often thought the theatricals were a bit over the top. In the final - unfortunately for him - they overshadowed the actual food.

Good series, very enjoyable - I shall miss it.

NO!, Of the three it should have been David. Nawamin blew it though, but was it any more pretentious than the piranha heads in Peru and the potatoes in soil? No! So go Nawamin - lots of money to be made opening a theatrical Thai Restaurant where each dish is an actor which comes on, plays its part, takes a bow and leaves.

Phew! Came back early from the pub to watch it now... Kenny was the right choice for me. David played it too safe tonight - plus 2 moussy things? Not enough texture. Nawamin completely lost it tonight with the theatricals and his main course wouldn't have fed a 5 year old. Plus it was a bit odd putting a plastic kiddy's bucket and spade next to a glass terrarium. And that sauce looked gross.

Kenny's food looked divine and I would have happily eaten every single morsel. Now can I go to sleep?!

I'm can be happy Kenny won. He did well.

No, he shouldn't. And he shouldn't have put nuts in his pannacotta. It's kind of the point of it that it is smooth. Otherwise whata is it there for.

Kenny done good on the night. And I am so very pleased Nawamin didn't win.

Nawamin's bucket and spade effort, with the goldfish bowl was beyond naff - and there's no way I would want that splurge of diarrhoea on my plate, thank you very much.

Kennt should not have been in the final - Alex wiz robbed!, and David did play it safe.

HOWEVER - ALL of Kenny's food was "inspired" (ie blatantly copied") by his placements (for want of a netter word) during the series.

David may have been safe, but he was original.
David should've won. (And his food was the meal I would most liked to have eaten)

I must say, when they were doing the preliminary stuff I was thinking that maybe Nawamin shouldn't win because we can't afford to have him diverted from his TB research.

IMO gets the winner wrong every other year. I didn't watch last year's effort, but of this year's I felt that David was the most improved - but just playing it a little too safe was his downfall.

If it’s every other year they get it right then I’d say this year was a good one

Alison or Steve should have won last year. Or Lorna or Giovanna. Anyone but Simpering Saliha.

I didn’t want Saliha to win at all. This year they got it right! Well done Kenny.

I wanted Alison to win last year. Thought she should have got to the final. Thought Alex should have had a chance to cook on final too though.

I forgot about Giovanna. She may have been one of my favourite contestants ever.

I think David and Nawamin lost it and Kenny rose to the challenge. Alex was robbed though. She was so lovely and her food looked really good.

I loved Giovanna. I wanted her to be my bff. I missed the final where she lost. DH videos it for me but I couldn't watch it.
