I saw this was announced earlier today.

It's made me quite curious as to what editorial approach / stance it will take as in documentaries, a message, or a "take away" is usually part of what the film maker wants to get across

So in Making A Murderer they want you to know it's a miscarriage of justice.

In the Amanda Knox one, a reporter from the Daily Mail becomes the villain of the piece

The same is also true of Mitch Winehouse in the Amy documentary

So what will the " message" of this be I wonder ?

I’d be very interested to see if the tapas 7 are followed up- as in their lives now. They must have been so affected by the decision they made at the time too in leaving their own children alone.

ValleyClouds · 10/04/2018 23:27

I've just read in The Express that Gerry and Kate haven't cooperated with it, and won't feature so I doubt the 7 will be either....

But if they aren't involved what will it consist of?? Confused

Rumour, speculation, conjecture and innuendo, I imagine....

BoneyBackJefferson · 10/04/2018 23:48

Will they be allowed to actually analyse all of the areas of the case without tripping a court case.

EatWorms · 11/04/2018 09:49

hopefully it pulls together all the evidence that only came to light years later- like the efit of a man carrying a small child why that was sat on for so long. There’s new suspects that have been pointed to more recently.
The burglary gone wrong theory that police are pushing does not add up for me.

ValleyClouds · 11/04/2018 20:02

I just don't know how they will fill eight hours.

If they have that much evidence to merit 8 hours it's a wonder it hasn't been solved

there has been two books, several court cases, and all of the media coverage. There is more than enough for 8 hours.

EatWorms · 12/04/2018 11:12

Yes the sheer volume of people interviewed its never ending. Some many different perspectives it could take quite interested to see how biased/unbiased the programme is.

VladPutin · 12/04/2018 11:20

Oh they’ve been making it for ages. Journalist I know was telling me about it last year.

LARLARLAND · 12/04/2018 11:22

Why don't they leave the family alone? The McCanns have teenage dc who are just trying to get on with their lives. I can't imagine how they must feel.

VladPutin · 12/04/2018 11:41

That’s the curse of involving yourself with the press I suppose. You can never shut the door once you’ve opened it.

ItsASairFecht · 12/04/2018 11:43

It will be the same old same old..nothing new.

LARLARLAND · 12/04/2018 11:47

The teenage dc haven't involved themselves with the press. I have never even seen a photograph of them.
