Holby and Casualty going off

Watched both Casualty and Holby from the start and they have been two of my best loved programs
However does anyone else think they have all of a sudden got really bad. Holby have got rid of loads of the best characters (which ok may have wanted to leave) but they have not made a lot of the new characters that have come in.

Casualty- I think for me it started going bad with the Ellison storyline and then went downhill again with Elle and her son and now we have Scott Ellison’s girlfriend and baby. It’s getting like a soap opera.
I am seriously thinking of turning off both which is a shame as I have always loved them but it’s become a chore to watch and episode

Erm, aren't they soaps? Don't get me wrong, I love them both and keep up with them each week - but I do regard them as soaps! I find they come and go with how daft the storylines are/how much they annoy me vs really wanting to know what happens next.

Robyn and Glen annoyed me - noone but noone is allowed to have a happy marriage in Holby. Waiting for a helicopter to fall on Charlie and Duffy any day now.

Well they are on every week but they are never in the soap category always drama whereas a soap is on many times a week and does not break like Casualty and Holby

And like you said no one can be happy. Can’t think of wedding that did not have a drama somewhere
