German shows / Walter Presents (All4)

Have run out of anything German to watch having worked my way through all of the Tatort series (Inspektor Borowski, Cenk Batu, Nicks Law etc) and The Team so what should I watch next. Is Scandi crime the way to go? There seems to be quite a bit of it on there?

Am very much looking forward to Deutschland 86 but don't know when that's coming out - I think they've finished filming so hopefully not long.

Also loved Dark on Netflix, any other good German stuff I can watch? I justify spending my evenings watching this on the grounds it's keeping my language skills up (it's a long time since I lived there!)

Have you seen 'Er ist wieder da' (Look Who's Back)? It's amazing!
Is 'Dark' worth watching?

Dark was excellent. Apparently the English dub was awful so watch in German with subtitles.

Thanks for recommendations, will start looking these out, I quite enjoy Flemish/Dutch as well, I did enough Germanic studies that I can pick out quite a bit of what they are saying so I kid myself it’s all educational and not just me spending hours watching TV

Charité. Despite the French-sounding title, I saw the trailer for this on Canadian Netflix and it appears to be in German. I have not watched it yet.

I saw “Generation War” when it was on the BBC, which was excellent (Unsere Mütter, Unsere Väter was the original title). Not sure if it’s available to stream, but it’s well worth a watch.

Us too! We have only watched 4 episodes of Dark so far but after the first we found we preferred it in German with subtitles.

Really enjoying it so far. Some one described it to us as if "Stranger Things" had a child with "The Returned". We liked both those shows so we had to try it!
