Unforgotten on Netflix, much better than Marcella!

I don't know why I'm making a comparison really. Just because Marcella was quite plugged on Netflix but then I found the conclusion very meh.

The conclusion of Unforgotten was imo unpredictable, tied up well, and the characters who at first just seemed unlikable, they all had dilemmas and back story by the conclusion.

Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Basheer. Very good. What will I watch now?

I agree! I watched unforgotten when it came on tv I didn't realise it was now on Netflix. I would watch it again, I think Nicola Walker is fab.
I tried watching Marcella and just couldn't get into it at all.

Ooh is this the 1st or 2nd series? I haven’t seen the first, but the 2nd I watched on ITV and it was excellent. Absolute brilliant esge of the seat stuff and so sensitively handled.

Loved it on ITV. Third series is now filming, hopefully airs sometime later this year.

I think it was the first season. The original victim was a 17 year old boy called Jimmy Sullivan if that rings a bell without giving any spoilers at all.

I agree too. The interaction between the 2 main police officers is very natural and while they have their issues, nothing over the top. I thought where Marcella ended in series 2 was ridiculous. I won't be bothering with series 3.

Tom Courtney was amazing in series one (old guy in wheelchair). I think he won something for his performance.

I’ve just watched it on Netflix too and really enjoyed it. I nearly didn’t bother as I often find Nicola Walker a bit annoying but she was great in this. The dialogue and relationships were very natural. I was impressed that they made an effort to have happy endings within the bounds of possiblity. So often these stories end so bleakly that I feel down for days after.

And Sanjeev Baskar can do straight acting as well as comedy, I never knew.

I really liked this. Watched the first series on Netflix then paid £4.99 for the second series on Amazon.

Unforgotten 2 is now on netflix. It's very good. Good acting from all.
