I just watched the first two episodes of HSB (on Ch4OD). They're still brilliant and I still fancy Frank Furillo.

I didn't realise that the first series had very poor viewing figures (they all thought it would get cancelled) and it was only after it won lots of Emmys that year, it became mainstream viewing.

Sad news. I just read he had leukemia for four years until he died. I've many fond memories of watching Hill Street Blues, L.A Law and NYPD Blue. He was a genius who made a huge impact on American TV.
