Just watching series 4.

I dislike Meri more with each episode. Her name is an oxymoron. Is she the epitome of a narcissist?

I’ve only just started watching it but the whole thing seems a mess and none of the wives actually seem to like each other deep down! Kody just seems to make everything about him while saying he is thinking of ‘the family’

I'm watching it on Home and Health at 7pm every day. I quite like Janelle.

I think Meri is more egotistical than Kody. She's very selfish.

I think Meri has lost having something in common with others, because all the other ones have little children.
Or she wants out. She doesnt seem to put much effort in relationship with other wives or Kody.

Meri is awful, I am watching the current series and she gets worse .

I'm still on the early seasons and Meri has been the same from the off. If the tears don't work, anger is next. I think she holds the rest of the family to ransom with her moods.

Agreed, she seems to take everything so personally and the slightest thing seems to make her go off the handle! People don’t seem to ever know what they have done to antagonise her because her emotions are so all over the place.
It must be hard for her having been the original wife then going through the divorce and then finding what she thought was her escape only to discover it was all a lie! However I don’t think that excuses her making the rest of the family miserable.

I’m watching the current series and did think she was so miserable and bringing everyone down- until I watched some earlier series where Robyn hasn’t long since joined the family. Meri and Kody seemed to really love each other and then over time as Robyn became more integral to the family it seems Kody is less and less interested. No matter what the circumstances to have your husband divorce you and legally marry the new wife you introduced him to and then go on to have more children with her whilst you are infertile would most definitely make you appear permanently pissed off! (Not that I put too much thought into this )

I feel Meri no longer wishes to be part of it all. Plus she lost her job due to the series and being in plural marriage.

It does feel like Robyn is the be all and end all wide though.

I have never liked Keri always the "wowis me" with her but she never makes an effort with any of them.

I do not like Christine's daughter mykelti and son in law Tony. Very weird set up, and who on earth has heir father here while giving birth?

Tony is majorly odd! I didn’t like him from when he said oh they can just get a loan to pay for the wedding ‘it’s called home equity!’ 😯😯

Meri is annoying but i feel a bit sorry for her too she's asking kody to try and work a things but he doesn't seem bothered.it must be hard for her to see the way he is with the others when he's so cold to her.
I love Christine can't take to Robyn

Tony is a dope, remortgaging to pay for a wedding is ridiculous. He's very controlling.

I don't feel sorry it Meri. Just watched Marian's graduation. She cried tears because didn't like the seats. I think she's always been high maintenance but the rest of the family are getting sick of her.

I love this show, I like Meri, I think she's had a hard time from Christine and Janelle for years, she was the one who organised the move from Utah to Las Vegas, she gave up being the legal wife so Kody could adopt Roybns children.

When she was catfished by that woman no one stood up for her, they felt sorry for her but never said it wasn't her fault, they judged her and blamed her, her own daughter was vile to her, when they were buying the land in Vegas and designing their houses she was told her budget should be smaller because her family was small, Kody told her she should have a smaller place whilst sorting out the bad credit Robyn had.

I think she wants out and she should go with her gut, her and Robyn were very close and I think once she divorced Kody Robyn dropped her like a hot brick.

Agree about Tony he's awful, 4000 thousand taco, and we'll all freeze to death at your wedding, feck off you control freak, I'd be stunned if that marriage lasts, he's horrible.

Meri is my favourite by far.

I think meri is child like probably because she was raised in a similar environment to that in which she was married and she's never been allowed to spread her wings. If things don't go her way she sulks and tantrums, seems she has no adult life experience. Wasn't her mum married to Kodys Dad? Or was that Christine?

She was awful when they were sorting out the Vegas homes, demanding as big a house as each other family even although they couldn't afford it and despite only having one child, who was close to finishing high school.

It is good to see her pushing her own boundaries for the sake of her daughter though.

It's a fascinating series. Kody is despicable he completely took over in madisons birth. Robyn is clearly his favourite as she is still of child bearing age and she stupidly plays on this, he's such an egomaniac.

I like Janelle & Christine. You can't help feeling that they've all missed out on life experience because of this brainwashed environment they live in.

It's good to see some of the kids choosing a different life although religion still seems to be core in some capacity.

Tony is horrible, very controlling and mykyltie has some issues that she is burying by marrying so young but sadly I think she will stay in the marriage as that's been her role models solutions. Wouldn't be surprised if that ends up a polygamist marriage.

I should've added that I think meri has been treated appallingly by her husband.

I honestly think she's been treated differently for many years because she wasn't able to have more children and the expectation of their religion that she would help raise everyone else's must have been very difficult for her during the years she was hoping to get pregnant.

Just watched the house ones cos I'm only on series 4. Meri wanted more than the others and went way over budget. Her requirement for a wet bar so she could entertain everyone meant she needed an extra bedroom. The finishes she chose were way more expensive than everyone else's and her house cost way more. Janelle's underspend on her budget subsidised her choices. She complains about unfairness and then gets way more. Same thing is happening with Mariahs's college fees, they are about 10 X than the cost of Logan and Aspyn's college funds. I don't understand American college fees so it might be worthwhile for the type of courses they do.

Meri has two broken records infertility and catfish (not happened yet but I've seen clips).

I think people are fed up treading on egg shells. She'd be hard to live with but I don't think the situation they've chosen is an easy one for any of them. I feel a bit sorry for the older girls. They've been put upon for childcare (especially Aspyn's) whilst the wives are in San Francisco.

Apparently the adults were paid $180k each. Presumably per season. That's probably why Meri is still there and the others tolerate her. Supposedly they want to axe the series now and kodi has said they'll all do it for £180 k instead of each.

That's quite a come down in fee.

I like Christine, Janelle's my fave.

I was wondering if she bought the bed and breakfast, I hope she's happy, did she pay for it herself, I hope she did then its hers and not the families.

Aspen and Logan also got engaged, can only imagine how much the weddings will cost, but Michele seems fairly grounded so she might not go to over the top.

I'd love to know how her family view the Browns, she's not a Mormon I don't think.

OMG I’m just watching Maddison’s wedding again, blimey could Kody have made it more about him and his marriages 🙄 like it was all one big show for him! Can’t believe he forgot the rings as well! Like so busy droning on he has forgot one of the most important parts 😐 also was Tony there? Didn’t see him!

I'm watching series 4 on Home and Health and the episodes are sometimes shown out of order. Last episode was S4, episode 17 tonight's is a tell all finale - they've missed the commitment ceremony episodes 18&19 out! . In other news, the makeup artist has gone mad with eyelashes and eyebrows. Kody looks like Groucho Marx, especially in comparison with the clips.

Meri has already carried more that I cried all last year. More than, Christine had about Truley's awful, near death experience. It takes all sorts but come on.
