I'm giving up ER and transferring my loyalty to Gray's Anatomy

I've watched ER for years and years and years.
Loved it, makes me laugh, makes me cry, great medical stuff , reasonably accurate if slightly OTT
I was going to give it up if baby Joe had died but still i worry if he will make it over the next few weeks
Everyone lives in dark flats, and works in a dark ER, get some lightbulbs people
but now, can't take it any more, boo hoo sob sob, everyone dies, children living in sewers, everyone dies, work in poor clinic doing your bit for community , everyone dies
WHY DO I BOTHER
so, I'm stopping watching it and moving to gray's anatomy which makes me laugh, makes me cry, silly medical stories but at least some of them end up positive
Does anyoone still enjoy ER?

the acting and scripts are laughable

I hear GA is very good, am tempted to get the first series out on dvd

So agree about the darkness with ER.

GA is fabbo - not just for the Mcdreamysteamy stuff but so funny - I love Bailey's and Christina's lines. And agree about slight Ally Mcbeal side to it, with some of the storylines. Also the music is excellent, and very well matched to the situation (hot flush remembering Snow Patrol in the final ep series 2).

Am I the only one who finds Denny creepy and annoying though?

Agree with music, yes especially Snow Patrol...but not about Denny!

Well, Denny dies so you won't have to find him creepy and annoying any more

and stick with ER cos Abby and Kovac get married incredibly beautifully (watched it this morning- actually gave me a tear) in a couple of episodes

C5 sunday nights - double episode of viewing pleasure.

That spoiler shows up even worse if you come to it from 'threads I'm on' or similar, bit out of order IMO (though I knew, saw it on Living too).

Just had the episode that really annoyed you last time - where Izzy cuts his LVAD thinking Burke is on his way, but Burke got shot. (God it sounds crap if anyone is reading this who isn't into it lol).

You're right though...that episode was v annoying, 'You can't leave me' yada yada yada. Not what I watch GA for...just as well it doesn't happen very often!

ARGH - I was just moving the thread up, didn't want to see any spoilers (as am watching GA on C5) and saw something horrible about DENNY!!! Noooooooooooooooooo!!!

Oh well, so exciting on Sunday, I was literally on the edge of my seat... still looks like I know some of what is coming but am sure the finale next week will be fab anyway!

So agree about the ER thing. I have watched from the beginning and have loads on DVD but recently I have barely watched it.

I did enjoy Adison bawling Mcdreamy out on the balcony in the last episode though, very good.

I have to agree that I find GA good, turned into onto it a fortnight ago by accident and couldn't wait for Sunday's double episode.

Will be waiting until next week to watch it. I haven't watched ER for ages and agree that GA seems to be better.
