What else should I watch on Netflix?

To me, Parenthood is Gilmore Girls natural successor in many ways but it isn't on Netflix now.

I think Everything Sucks might be a good shout

Thanks. Amazon is selling complete parenthood seasons 1-6 so I may buy them. Is it very similar to Gilmore girls?

I would have loved another season after it ended with Rory dropping that bombshell.

So The actress who plays Lorelei in Gilmore Girls plays a single mum of teens who has to move back in with her parents as she struggling and broke.

She has siblings who also have their own families her older brother is quite smug and they think their daughter is better than hers. But they are also struggling with their son who has autism.

Her sister is a high flying lawyer with a spoilt only child

Their youngest brother is kind of an irresponsible hippy and suddenly finds out he has a 5 year old child.

It's about all the family and how they interact.

It will make you cry though

Parenthood is brilliant IMO. Marvelous Mrs Maisel is what the Netflix GG revival should have been, tbh.

Offspring is brilliant and on Netflix. I think there are 6 or 7 series so that would fill your Gilmore Girls shaped hole

I watched it during the tjme of DC's autism diagnosis and BF's breast cancer. I sobbed my way through the first couple of seasons.

Life in Pieces is desperately trying to be a funny Parenthood - it's mostly good but not in the same league though.

Parenthood is great. It was one of the first times I’d seen a kid with autism on TV. It helped when DS was diagnosed.

There aren’t many shows like Gilmore Girls. The creator also did a show called Bunheads which only lasted 22 episodes but was great. I wish it was available for legal download somewhere.

I imagine it was a tough watch in those circumstances

Adam and Kristina annoyed me quite regularly but the scene in the car with their son is heart wrenching.
