Pretty Little Liars summary needed!

My teen daughter is v keen to have some needed bonding time and wants me to watch Pretty Little Liars with her which is great but she's already on Season 5. Going to watch and catch up but need some pass notes, key characters, A, etc...

As she’s only on Season 5 I won’t tell you everything there is to know, but basically the main premise is there’s 5 girls (Spencer, Alison, Hanna, Aria and Emily) who are best friends in this place called Rosewood. One night during a sleepover Alison goes missing, and until Season 4 it is unknown what happened. A year later her body is found (but it is later revealed she’s alive) and the girls start receiving texts from an unknown person who calls themselves ‘A’.

Spencer is the smart one and the black sheep of her family, Alison is the ‘queen bee’ figure, though her personality changes, Emily is the sporty one and she comes out as a lesbian in Season 1, Aria is the arty one and dates her teacher (creepy, but some people like it, I don’t) and Hanna is the humourous one (some of her one liners can be funny!)

Enjoy watching PLL with her, I LOVED watching it with my mum and it’s one of the only series where I can sit through every episode without getting bored.
