I need something to replace The Good Wife for binge watching

And I can't quite find it!

I liked the law story in each episode but also the good performers and slightly glamorous cast. Interesting jobs and ethical dilemmas, but sexy folk being sexy and glamorous. I guess ER falls in the same kind of category.

What else is there?

Scandal?

Flimp · 01/03/2018 22:11

ooh, someone else said Scandal

Love love love the good wife. Currently watching scandal and imo is not in the same league. How about suits?

SaltedCaramels · 01/03/2018 22:11

Suits?

Flimp · 01/03/2018 22:12

I started watching suits, but it seemed to be about a load of bellends? Was I being too harsh? I didn't really give it much of a chance.

I came here to say suits too

Flimp · 01/03/2018 22:13

Looking forward to the new series of The Good Fight btw. S1 was even better than TGW I thought.

SO need the answer to this. Watched 3 seasons of orange is the new black but it just doesn’t really scratch the itch. Would re-watching ally Mcbeal work?

TheNotSoGoodWife · 01/03/2018 22:15

I loved TGW and have not yet filled the gap. I’m trying Sneaky Pete but I’m not gripped like I was.

I may have become a little iverinvested in it tbh Blush

FrostiesMum · 01/03/2018 22:15

Also didn’t get into suits Btw

PurpleDaisies · 01/03/2018 22:15

The West Wing is old but brilliant.
Greys anatomy starts really well. Most recent series aren’t as good.
I didn’t like scandal at all.
The Good Fight spin off was pretty good although there’s only one series so far.
ER really is good!

Viviene · 01/03/2018 22:15

Suits have the most amazing clothes you can imagine.

MustRememberTheLInFingerling · 01/03/2018 22:15

Good call on Ally Mcbeal!

Flimp · 01/03/2018 22:16

I've never even seen Ally McBeal!

Do I need to do that now or is it too late?

Actually, I've never seen The West Wing either. Do these things date well?

PurpleDaisies · 01/03/2018 22:17

I’ve watched all seven series of the west wing over and over. It’s stood the test of time really well in my opinion.

meladeso · 01/03/2018 22:21

I just started seven seconds on Netflix which is pretty gripping
And also hunt for the unabomber or whatever it's called

FrostiesMum · 01/03/2018 22:21

Ooooh I also loved ER but where can you see it now?

DontbeaDickaboutit · 01/03/2018 22:22

Big Little Lies?

BleakBleakBleak · 01/03/2018 22:22

Persevere with Suits, and I assure you all those bell ends will really grow on you!

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 01/03/2018 22:23

Have been watching Gypsy on Metflix which I’ve quite enjoyed. Naomi Watts as the main character, plays a therapist who gets tangled in her clients lives.

Flimp · 01/03/2018 22:38

Can't find TWW for free, so I'm going with Scandal for now, with Suits, Gypsy and Seven Seconds (never heard of that one) waiting in the wings.

Big Little Lies is an excellent call btw, I thought it was fucking ace.

thanks!

Haven't seen The Good Wife but we are enjoying The Good Fight

ginghamstarfish · 01/03/2018 22:42

Similar to Ally McBeal was Boston Legal, but don't know if it's on Netflix.

iklboo · 01/03/2018 22:44

@FrostiesMum - CBS Drama on Sky / Virgin are repeating ER from the first series every weeknight. I'm loving it.

Oswin · 01/03/2018 22:50

Boston legal I forgot that, I loved that. James spader and William shatner were hilarious.
