I always thought it was ridiculous bringing in a new Michelle Fowler. She was one of the big characters until the 90s. It just makes it lose its continuity.

Venella She sounded exactly like Mo. I thought she was loud and somewhat aggressive. My impression was she wasn't the type of person, you'd like to get on the wrong side of. Of course other people might say she was 'salt of the earth' type. That type of personality makes me very nervous though.

tobee, Munter, he did look very grim i must say ! all that make up. He does resemble Martin Kemp though and has cheekbones to die for. its a good match.
I thought the first episode was funny - the second just descended into farce, but they did all look as if they were having fun - a bit like the time they went to Ronnie's wedding and all were in the foyer having a drink and a laugh, it seemed quite natural ( before the girls drowned of course)

She was also in Doctor Foster and her Brummie accent is authentic.

I have loved the last few days it has been really funny especially last night Big Mo isn't the best actress but i like her.The kat wake was hilarious and Jean was on top form she is not dead she is in the cupboard I didn't watch Redwater so i have no idea where Kat &Alfie are meant to be living.

Yeah barre last nights was very funny and very OFAH. Slater gang walking into bar was like Del etc walking into the nags head - especially the episode where they'd sold the watch!

The only thing that annoyed me was Mo said Kat died in boat accident in Ireland - yet in red water that was months ago. And yet she said "just had accident".
Guess it was using RL situation to make it easier to lie as incident facts were correct?

I know the Jean character irritates a lot of people on here but I think she delivers her lines so well, I think she is a good character and a good actress.

The actor who plays Hunter is beautiful. I feel more than weird saying that as he is so young but he really is. Whoever cast him did a great job as he really looks like Steve Owen with Mel's colouring and he is doing a good job playing his character. I read it is his first role yet there is a huge difference between him and the actor who played Lee (for the most part so badly).

I thought the pub brawl was silly too. Food fighting disgusts me though so I thought it was just me. Martin jumping straight into a fist fight (or any fight) was out of character even in his elated state. The Martin character is a bit of s dreamer but he was always nice ie how he worked with Kush regarding Arthur, Stacey’s breakdown etc.

I hate food fights too. So many people starving in the world yet they fling food about. I’ve never done this and hate seeing it.
The rest was amusing though.
What next for Kat? I doubt mick will give her a job!
