Ok i'm swallowing my pride here, what's an EFL teacher?

Whizzz · 02/05/2007 21:22

English as a Foreigh Language

(I'm still recovering from the tractor + ladder combo....so unsafe)

SenoraPostrophe · 02/05/2007 21:22

pruni you should have taught in Brighton. 4 years, fit:weird probably about 50:50.

although I admit I never knew any that well so the fit ones may have been secretly weird.

But anyway...190k on the land, plus a half built house and they haven't sold their other house yet! carpentry pays better than I thought it did.

LynetteScavo · 02/05/2007 21:23

You mean Kevin McCloud, the architect? He does speak excellent French and I think Italian or German.

SenoraPostrophe · 02/05/2007 21:23

lovely house though.

SenoraPostrophe · 02/05/2007 21:24

lynette - we mean the house owner in the episode that's on now.

Just checked him out. Only ever met female EFL teachers, so I cant' comment. If I wasn'' happily married, I'd be so after Kevin. Top Bloke.

Twiglett · 02/05/2007 21:30

HOW MUCH did he say he had on credit card?

trippleshot · 02/05/2007 21:31

pretty sure they said he was a carpenter.

trippleshot · 02/05/2007 21:32

30k on credit card

MuminBrum · 02/05/2007 21:32

I have to deal (only a little bit) with EFL teachers ... at "language gap is a positive asset". You're not wrong!

Twiglett · 02/05/2007 21:33

he looks less EFL like with the short hair

must admit, he's growing on me now

but 30K on cc 'kin 'ell

lyrabelacqua · 02/05/2007 21:33

I know and English/Japanese couple and SHE was the EFL teacher (in Japan) and HE was the pupil. Possible same scenario here.

trippleshot · 02/05/2007 21:34

he's lovely - not at all like odious types on property ladder.
