Anyone watching the Dynasty repeats?

Every night at 10 on CBS Drama - Freeview 71. It's the very first episode tonight. I remember watching it with my Mum when I was 11.

I remember when the series first started that it was a feature length episode. They've split it up so ended suddenly ( good though as I am tired - I MUSTN'T watch Bad Girls!)

Blake raped Krystle on tonight's episode. I don't remember that from my original watching at 12. He is so much nastier and controlling than I remember.

He is awful in this first series. Raping Krystle plus his homophobia towards Steven - you can see they haven't got the 'benevolent patriarch' idea sorted yet. He's much more like what you'd expect from a series villain.

I was shocked because I recall Blake as being a benevolent guy they sure cleaned him up along the way. Have not reached the rape scene yet.

I'm only on the 2nd episode but the controlling aspects of Blake's character are screaming at me. I'm not even sure adults in the early 1980s would have interpreted this behaviour as controlling (filling her apartment with flowers, whisking her off in the jet)....would probably be seen just as the grand romantic gesture. We know so much more now dont we!

Fallon has just managed to run down a huge flight of stairs and drive a car with tissues threaded between her toes. Her toe nail varnish must have been terribly smudged.

I watch the 6pm show and we are a few episodes ahead - don't want to spoil it though. I too remember Blake as benevolent and was shocked to find how utterly horrible he is. I don't remember this at all (was young at the time but usually good memory). Fallon is played by Pamela Sue Martin but Emma Samms takes over from next series I think.

When I originally watched it at 12 I drooled over Jeff. Now he seems rathet dull (albeit with great eyebrows). I really like Fallon now. I think Pamela Sue Martin brings far more to the character than Emma Samms did in the later series. It's a shame thay she had to leave the series due to illness.

I am watching the new Netfix ones... I like it.
I didn't watch Dynasty from the beginning when i was younger... I think I started only when The Colbys started and Fallon had been abducted by aliens!!

Housewife I used to fancy Jeff too, have to say I look at him in the re-runs and still think he is easy on the eye....just not my type. Mind you, that hair!
