Alabama rot is a real dog ailment, and usually fatal. It's made appearances in the UK.Sad

toldmywrath · 23/02/2018 19:29

Baa baa baa baa babyVal. Stop your incubating and make an appearance before next Thursday please. SmileGlitterball

toldmywrath · 23/02/2018 19:31

Raahh dog sounds like told dog, my groomer says bless her she's been good. I bet

toldmywrath · 23/02/2018 19:35

Poor Al's mum. What a brilliant job she's doing, the actress, portraying dementia.Sad

Raahh · 23/02/2018 19:42

told my groomer has a face book page, that she puts photos of all the dogs on. Lots of happy , friendly dogs

I think mine featured the first time with a caption saying 'he was a bit nervous' Grin.

She's never bothered since SadGrin
He's very fluffy at moment because she was ill at the beginning of the month, and I can't take him til the beginning of March. He will soon look like Brutus- even though he's actually a schnauzerGrin

Brutus didn't seem too happy when bow tie boy and rescue centre girl were getting smoochy. The poor actor dog looked desperate to get back to its owner. There was a lot of whining going on.

toldmywrath · 23/02/2018 23:11

Raahh I just know that told dog misbehaves, she's a right madam if we try to groom her. I love a schnauzer, very impressive set of facial hair!

Raahh · 24/02/2018 10:33

I know what you mean about the whining- my dog kept looking at the tv! Poor doggy was not happy at allSad.

Raahhdog currently could do with a hair band to keep his eye brows in check. He has a very expressive ( mostly miserable Grin) face.i love his beard. Last year he ended up a bit matted after a summer of foraging in BlackBerry bushes and we had no choice but to lose a lot of his beard. He looked very odd for a while!

I think Al's mum is doing an amazing job SmileSmileSmileSmile

I also think this is a very very important storyline for the viewers who are quite likely to be elderly people who live alone

I know my elderly relatives watch it as it comes on after lunch time news, they like having the TV on to keep them company so the house isn't quiet iyswim

I think the idea of a script on a notepad is a good one for her to use on the phone to cold callers

My brother installed systems to their phones called TRUCALLER or something like that which stops cold callers hopefully

I think the story of a con man lying and conning her out of money is a horrible story but very good idea for doctors to cover so that the pensioners who watch it might learn the tricks that are used against them AngrySadAngrySadAngrySadAngrySadAngry

We have one on our phones called CALL GUARDIAN which works really well too

But callers to the house are much harder to protect against AngrySadAngrySadAngrySadAngrySadAngry

Raahh · 25/02/2018 17:19

Ihave It is horrible to think we have to go to such lengths to protect our loves ones from snakes like these, really. But these days there are so many ways that vulnerable people can be conned without realising.

I hope it ends well for Eve, though.

ChilliToes yes I agree. I'm not old but I'm not young this storyline is making me think about giving my DD POA, because by the time you actually need it you are not deemed competent to consent to it.

redshoeblueshoe · 26/02/2018 13:47

NutButterNutter · 26/02/2018 13:47

Oh this is too cringey

blamethecat · 26/02/2018 13:48

Because the consultations take place in reception Hmm and the bloke tipped the press off.

NutButterNutter · 26/02/2018 13:48

redshoeblueshoe · 26/02/2018 13:48

Yes nut it is

NutButterNutter · 26/02/2018 13:49

blamethecat · 26/02/2018 13:49

redshoeblueshoe · 26/02/2018 13:49
