Qui I’m happy to report that DD and her friends went to Corbyn speak last year and they were very unimpressed! Dd said he was just full of waffle.

I thought it was just odd when Andrew addressed Courtney as 'Mate' and followed it up with something like 'you look bangin' It takes some getting your head round. If he wanted to talk to his friend Shane, why didn't he say 'Courtney looks amazing tonight' or similar to that. Was he just trying to emphasise his I'm a man, I don't fancy men stance?

Shane J has such a lot going for him naturally doesn't he, his features, bone structure, his legs and then he puts the work in with his makeup. His gestures as Courtney are feminine too, he's quite graceful with his hands and arms. India I'm afraid, to me at least, going by old pictures still looks very much like Jonathan and has the posture and movements of a man and doesn't look at one with herself yet. To be fair though, looking back Jonathan didn't have a very good style either. She should've asked Shane and Malika for some tips.

I wonder what Jonathan was like as a person? whether the same personality continues or whether the whole process of transformation has brought out someless amenable traits? I read somewhere, forget where, that newsroom colleagues don't recognize the person they've seen on CBB as the person they know. Perhaps it's all a deliberate Hopkinsesque ploy to create a new 'character' and gain work that way?

Shane is a much better looking woman than man. I think that's part of why he does it.

India wants to be a natural woman, without corsets and contouring.

That said, when you put Courtney next to Malika or Jess, her size still feels quite masculine- she could do without the huge platform heels! I've seen a few pictures of trans people who look good until you stand them next to a woman, then they somehow seem bulky. And I say that as a very broad built woman, with a petit built husband! Our hands and feet are the same size.

Is it too mean to say that it is egotism that leads him into drag? He's an extremely successful drag artist, dominates the room, in a way that as a man he couldn't. There is no outfit he could wear as a man that would command the attention he gets as Courtney. I feel he lives out a fantasy of being the life and soul of the party, glamorous, desired, that he can't fulfil as a man.

I am busy tonight so not going to watch but will keep an eye on this thread before catching up to prep myself - I made the mistake of looking at twitter again today and there's so much nasty stuff about Ann (her appearance, her breasts, her personality, her teeth etc. etc.) that I don't think I can cope with the boos and the vilification in the year of the woman... she will be able to, though!

pickle yeah drag is ego driven which is the whole point of drag tbh if you quite and retiring you would make a rubbish drag queen, the only person i like in and out of drag is Ru paul he is fabulous

I really like that she walks around swinging free in her big nighties. Time the world understood what women actually look like. I'm attempting to help educate by not shaving under my arms and answering to the post man with a dazed expression and hair sticking out all over.
