I may be naive but I think Andrew is being genuine about Shane. The constant need for physical contact with him is quite telling for me. Maybe after chatting to his friends and family etc he's realised it's ok if his feelings towards Shane have thrown off his belief that he is "100% heterosexual". Maybe he's realised how much he's missed him and is willing to explore his relationship with him more... Or maybe he's just really tactile and does just love him in a very platonic way... I do believe he genuinely is fond of him. Just not sure how romantic that might be
