7 children and she's 35k in debt on credit cards?! How on earth has she been allowed to get in this much debt on credit cards? What happened to living within your means and also to responsible lending?!

Did you not hear that she said the debt was racked up to feed her children, not spent on vacations and expensive things, also her business has slowed down.

I'm not questioning what she spent the money on but on why the credit card companies were so irresponsible.

I was shocked at the amount too, I earn peanuts but am not anywhere near that level of debt as I have no credit cards.

I reckon she probably got the creditcards while the business was booming, so her income was quite high.

I have been in debt to that tune before. It wasn't irresponsible lending - I paid for a lease extension and my share of a new roof. I struggle to see how someone has spent £35k on food though.
