Twin Peaks

Are there any Twin Peaks fans / experts here? I watched one or two episodes in the early 90s and really liked it but never watched the whole thing. Is it worth watching the whole season? Is there a movie as well?

Alternatively, anything similar to Twin Peaks that's worth seeing e.g. on Amazon Prime or netflix?

Yes watch the 2 seasons and then watch the movie. There is a reboot which I haven't seen. Don't know if the original has aged welll as not seen since 90s but it was genre groundbreaking at time. Have you seen Lost?

I watched the first many episodes of Lost but the constant tension without any let up got boring and I gave up in the end. Good recommendation though!! eerie...

Where do I watch season 2 and the movie then? I have amazon prime, netflix and apple TV. I do have a life too.

I LOVED watching it back in the 90s and was really looking forward to the new series. Was awfully disappointed with it and didn't watch beyond the first episode. DH and I found it overly violent and disturbing in its treatment of the female characters. Don't know whether that's because I'm more sensitive to these things having lived a further 15 or so years as a woman but I couldn't handle some of the scenes where women were being brutalised.

Huge fan here since being obsessed with OG run as a youngster. S2 lags a bit after the reveal but the film and S3 are great. (Kyle Maclachlan was robbed at the Golden Globes imo) In my experience, you either love it and want to unravel everything or find it maddening and self indulgent.

It's one of my long time loves. I was in school when it first aired here. I've rewatched it so many times, never get tired of it. It's very surreal and you'll need to concentrate but it's so worth it. Loved the recent series too.

I started to watch it and then it was announced they were bringing it back when I was halfway through and I had to work awfully hard not to discover any spoilers! I really liked it. Season 1 is amazing. Season 2 is good until the mystery is revealed and then it turns awful/boring but the last few episodes are the very best. Season 3 was amazing and I really liked the movie Fire Walk With Me too. I got the first two seasons on Blu Ray for £20 from HMV.
