Is it just me or did Tom Kerridge promote a different diet / woe than the one he lost all his weight on,'the Dopamine Diet' ?!

Not just you. We're discussing it in the Low-carb BootCamp topic. It's not at all the same Confused - really quite disappointing. He mentions in passing that the way that he lost nearly 12 stone is difficult to follow which I would dispute so that he's following a different approach with his group. Hmm

I’ll confess to not knowing anything about his diets but I did read an interview with him about a year ago where he admitted he could easily down 12 pints in a sitting. I’d assumed ditching that had rather a lot to do with his weight loss.

He did mention that in the programme Shock In his Dopamine Diet book (which is not what the TV series is about; the Dopamine Diet is low carb but still with plenty of fat, whereas the TV show appears to be low fat/low calorie) he says he is an "all or nothing" guy so had to make the decision to cut out alcohol totally as he couldn't stop at just one.

The best diet to follow is Karl Lagerfeld's - Amazon UK.

I was thinking of buying Tom Kerridge Dopamine Diet book and am interested in knowing if he did promote his own diet or was it a different one? Has anyone had success with his diet book?

Deathraystare · 07/02/2019 16:07

I assume the tv show yo are mentioning is Fresh Start - that isn't a diet as such but about healthy eating. He did also have a book about the Dopamine Diet though.

Bubastes · 07/02/2019 17:28

I think the public perception of healthy eating is still very much low-cal focused so I can’t imagine TV producers have much interest in doing a low carb cooking series.

Although I'd love to see one!
