Amazon Prime 'originals' drip feeding Christian values

DD and I have been watching 'cosy Christmas' films available on Amazon Prime. However, the two we've watched most recently (both 'Prime' originals), have seen characters quoting from the Bible and talking repeatedly about God. The families in both films seem to lead very good lives which entail no alcohol consumed (even though in one there are repeated meals out in restaurants). In one there's even an observation about not kissing on Sundays! Just a bit shocked TBQH. They are quite full on in their messaging and I say this as someone who loved the wholesomeness of 'The Waltons'. I'm not exactly offended by it (although we are an agnostic/atheist family) but just rather surprised. I cannot think I've ever come across such 'blatant' proselytising in films before?

Not a trend I have noticed. Amazon Originals series I have watched are Man in the High Castle and The Tick, neither of which have been particularly proselytising.

Christmas films with Christian values? Shock horror. Basically you're watching crappy made for tv films, most likely aimed at the American Bible Belt. Nothing to get worked up about. Try Netflix Wink

They’re an American company. Middle America is generally much more Christian than middle Britain. I can’t get worked up about it.

They’re Christmas films and Christmas is a Christian thing Xmas Wink
