Loving the dramatic use of the escalator

Well, I enjoyed it. There's a splendid absurdity about a load of middle-aged women in twin-sets marching around a deserted shopping centre singing a song that relates to market workers in the 19th century, and I loved the bits where they're making pretend phone calls, waving money around and sitting down and swaying in time to the music. Its very Victoria Wood.

Apologies to those who watched it and didn't find it funny. I know that comedy is subjective but it made me roar laughing and thought it may raise a laugh with other people.
My highlights are the woman browsing with her wicker shopping basket...outside Topshop, and when the woman in the leopardskin top slips when they are marching.

Hmm, I lasted 1m15....not the best reminder of how crap tv was in the past though.

I enjoy Victoria Wood and I can see why she liked that and how it played into her comedy. That said it was as the soup dragon said 3:45 I'll never have again.

I’m missing something....but I do love Oliver though, so did enjoy hearing ‘Who Will Buy’

Not funny and just a bit odd because of the bad singing and 80s outfits.

I love Victoria Wood but the problem here is that it is not done cynically it is just of its time.

I remember Highway However, I only ever really remember Harry Secombe singing on it. Wasn't it usually hymns they sung?

I think the clip would have worked better if they'd been singing a song from West Side Story. They could've used women from different churches or rival flower groups and ended it with them having a scuffle in the food court.
