I am new to Holly Oakes. Can anyone help me work out happened to Amy?

Please?

This will be a long one - From what I remember, on Amy and Ryan's wedding day, Amy had a scuffle with Harry and she fell and banged her head on a coffee table. He thought he had killed her and he scarpered - Ste ended up being blamed for her murder as he had one of his blackouts and he went to prison. Ste didn't know if he had or hadn't done it. Ste later found out about Harry and Amy's fight and confronted him about being the killer - I think it was James that worked out it was Harry that had been the killer and told Ste. James had previously been trying to keep Ste in prison as he blamed Ste for breaking up him and John Paul - he tampered with evidence with the assistance of Ryan. Ste was later released from prison.

Tony found out Harry was the killer and threw him out of the house. Tony, James, Ste and Harry himself all still believe Harry to have been Amy's killer. Diane also now knows after Tony broke down to her.

But....

The viewers were shown a flashback that after Harry left after Amy hitting her head on the coffee table, she actually came to and was fine. Ryan then came home, and she confronted him about him hiding that he was gay - I think she heard a message left by Adam Rickett (Kyle?) after he and Ryan had had sex. Ryan was actually the one who killed Amy, not Harry. Ryan can't handle the fact that he is gay and was trying to shut her up, but ended up killing her.

Only the viewers know that it was Ryan but Teagan looks like she may uncover something after doing a sort of secret lie detector test with Ryan encouraged by Ste .... as he had slept with Ryan last week! Teagan hooked Ryan up to a heart monitor while he was in hospital to try and discover if his feelings for her were genuine (!) and she noticed the monitor went nuts when she made a joke saying "it's not like you've killed anyone".

Thanks, that all makes perfect sense.

What doesn't make sense is Any having her two kids with a gay man(ste?) Or is he meant to be bi? And then ending up with Ryan, who is also gay, or is he meant to be bi?

And why are are's kids living with Ryan if their mum died on her wedding day? Why don"t they live with their mum?

With their dad I mean!

Ste only realised he was gay when he got together with Brendan - I don't think he and Amy were still together when that happened but I didn't really watch it then so can't be certain. Only the youngest child, Lucas, is Ste's with Amy. Ste is not (the eldest child) Leah's father but she sees him as her dad. I think the kids are with Ryan due to Ste's previous drug use - he had previously tried for custody when Amy was alive but it was denied. He has blackouts due to brain damage as a result of his drug use and his behaviour can be unpredictable during these.

Ryan is gay but can't admit it to himself - he threatens anyone who tries to "expose" him. He married Amy and is with Teagan to try and convince himself he is straight, but he keeps sleeping with guys!

Just remembered - James also knows Ryan is hiding he is gay. Ryan tried to pick up a male prostitute, but it turned out to be Harry who was living on the streets after being kicked out by Tony. Ryan tried to convince Harry that he was actually undercover and on a job so he arrested Harry for prostitution - Harry called in James as his lawyer and from there, James discovered there was no undercover operation and after talking to Kyle, went to confront Ryan who admitted he went cruising.

Urghhhh who knows but surely this has got to be coming to a end soon! I know soaps do drag things out but this.. Old Ry Ry

I agree - things look like they might be crumbling for him now though. This show needs more James and less RyRy - love James
