Taboo - coming late to the party

Somehow I totally missed this, but started watching on iplayer, and watched it every night, finishing tonight. Wasn't it fantastic? Not just Tom Hardy, but the great cast, especially Tom Hollander, Jonathan Pryce and the guy who played Solomon Coop. And the filming! Such beautiful sets.
I now it was as mad as a box of frogs, but I haven't watched anything I've enjoyed as much since Mad Men.

You're right, it's brilliant and weird! I'm just watching it for the second time. I really like the chemist buy too. It's funny and dirty and gothic. Me and dh are emjoying James Delaney' s expressive grunts!

That should be chemist guy, of course.

This is on my list of things to watch.

Compelling character. We watched it without fail when it was first released: he is just evil and yet you absolutely want him to come out on top. Fabulous writing to make someone so awful so charismatic while obviously trying to be thoroughly unpleasant.
