There used to be loads of darts watchers on here once upon a time.

Great match tonight. Well done Rob Cross.

I went to watch it live before Xmas! They make the crowd and room look massive on the telly, but I was struck by how small it all was in real life.

Reggae I thought Ally Pally was huge!

Love christmas darts. Tonight was amazing. Won a few quid too on getting the correct score for the van gerwyn/cross game.

Had a fiver on phil Taylor to win the title at 14/1 too so will be quids in if he wins!

Absolutely brilliant darts tonight! 🎯 Gutted for Jamie Lewis, the 6-1 score doesn't do him justice, but his time will come. But what a match between Van Gerwen and Cross, they must have nerves of steel!! Thought the booing of MVG in the final leg was a bit shit though, I get they were rooting for the English guy but there's no need for that, especially after a match that good.

JaneJeffer · 31/12/2017 00:46

Well done Frouby. I would never have predicted that score!

I thought it was harsh too lady. Jamie lewis got booed a bit too.

But there have been times when the crowd has been behind MVG and booed his opponent so you have to be able to take the good with the bad on a stage like that.

I also picked Anderson out a couple of years ago to win when he did the first time and got the correct score on the final too. I rarely gamble to be fair but I have £1 a day on the darts and a fiver for the winner overall. I got a little accumulator up the other day too.

Am lucky at darts. Wish I was as lucky on the lottery. Grin

We’ve been watching all the way through, there have been some cracking games, last night’s sudden death was well worth stsying up for. I felt a bit gutted for Lewis too, however although I’ve never been a Taylor fan it would be truly incredible if he managed one last title.

The only problem I find with it is that we watch so much darts at this time of year that we miss most of the other Christmas stuff, I haven’t even looked at my Christmaa Radio Times. I’ve tried just watching from after Boxing Day but it’s not the same.

lady if you can get a bet on go close on the scores tomorrow night. I have a skybet app on my phone and just use that.

If you go really close there is always a player to cheer on. And the finals always tend to be close.

I really want Taylor to win. Because it's his final final and would be the stuff of dreams. And because £75 will be a nice little bonus. And also because psychologically I think Cross needs to lose on that stage to prepare him for his new career.

Some of the best players (Barney, MVG for instance) can't cope when they are losing and they need to be able to be losing and then pull it back. MvG has been so successful he really struggles to cope. It was very telling last night that he didn't give an interview post match. Even as young and as inexperienced Jamie Lewis is he still managed to give an interview post match.

I properly love the darts. It's the only sport (dp watches a lot of sport) I can watch and enjoy. Grin

And anyone who says it isn't a sport hasn't properly watched it.
