If anyone was a Monarchist, I think this series would turn them off. I admire the Queen in lots of ways, but honestly, what a bloody awful life. Why prince Philip was allowed to prat around for months on end shagging actresses and being an arsehole i do not know. All at the tax payer's expense. What a sorry lot of Nazi affiliates they are. At least the older generation.

There is a lot of artistic license involved. I wouldn't take the series as a definitive account of the facts.

Across - it's a drama not a documentary.

I'm only on episode 4 of series 1 and thought Winston Churchill and Venetia Scott were heading for an affair, turns out she didn't even exist! Loving the series but it is taking artistic licence a lot which is rather unfair on the likes of Prince Philip.
