It gives me the rage.
Beautiful architecture, sweeping landscaping, quality building materials and fantastic interiors... but never any curtains or blinds in the bedrooms.
Why? Why spend a gazillion pounds on your home, only to have a bedroom that you can’t change in, in case the neighbours see, and light pollution keeping you awake?
Where’s the fun of sleeping in your fabulous new home if you know you’ll be blinded by the sun at 5am in June?
I’m not sure whose to blame, the naive clients or unrealistic architects.
Ugly house to lovely house - I’m particularly looking at you. You’re meant to be more realistic than most property programmes and this week the lovely young couple were given a fabulous new picture window with crap views of the 90s estate and NO CURTAINS so they’ll have to get changed in the wardrobe.
