Hello,

I'm looking for some recommendations on what to watch next with my husband

The last ones we enjoyed watching are House of Cards and Homeland.

It can't be overly gory and nothing supernatural.

Thank you

Have you seen The Good Place yet? It's a comedy, very good. Netflix.

I enjoy Timeless on Netflix too, but DH finds it too silly. If you can suspend your disbelief it's very entertaining.

Also, The Good Wife on there if you haven't already seen it.

Amazon : maybe Lucifer?

Meepmoop · 12/10/2017 18:36

I'll have a look thank you.

I watch the same programmes as you but sadly DH cant stand them

I was kind of pleased he didn't like Timeless as it meant I didn't have to wait for him to watch it with me. Grin

Another one for Good Place. Also Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Jane the Virgin, Schitts Creek. All pretty easy going viewing.

Less easy going but brilliant: Breaking Bad, OITNB, Narcos, Ozark.

Then on Amazon, Outlander and Man in the High Castle. Both have time travel in the but not really supernatural.

sleepyhead · 12/10/2017 18:40

I'm really enjoying Ozark on Netflix.

MadameJosephine · 12/10/2017 18:41

Designated survivor, season 2 just started

I also really enjoyed Orphan black

Oh and of course Orange is the new black, love it!

MadameJosephine · 12/10/2017 18:43

YY to breaking bad. I always assume everyone has already seen it. I didn’t think I would like it but it is definitely one of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV. Once you’ve watched it all you can start on Better call Saul

MetallicBeige · 12/10/2017 18:45

If you like Musicals Crazy Ex-Girlfiend on Netflix is brilliant. Don’t be fooled by the title.
It’s feminist and covers mental health sympathetically, and still manages to be epically funny.

Watch it just for the Sexy Getting Ready Song.

Rachel Bloom is amazing.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 12/10/2017 18:47

Another vote for The Good Place, love it and episodes are quite short so I can squeeze one in often!

user1485166754 · 12/10/2017 18:48

Another one for the good place

halfwaytosomewhere · 12/10/2017 18:49

Hap and Leonard on Amazon, is very good

PickleSarnie · 12/10/2017 18:49

I hadn't watched Breaking Bad until a year ago madam, binge watched it over a couple of months. Best thing I've ever watched ever. I didn't think it was my cup of tea but was gutted when it finished (although a bit relieved at the same time - the last season was pretty intense!)

PhoenixDown · 12/10/2017 19:02

The Good Place is utterly fantastic. Ted Danson is a bloody delight. Do not google anything about it as you really don't want spoilers! Its a comedy but very well written and a very clever story. I watched the whole first season in 2 days!

Bear2014 · 12/10/2017 19:07

Transparent on Amazon is great.

Designated Survivor, Suits, Shooter, Master of None, Schitts Creek on Netflix

Csd17 · 12/10/2017 19:16

I recommend The Good Wife. It’s a court room drama with a side of politics. It has a brilliant cast, brilliant characters and 7 seasons for you to get your teeth in to.

Csd17 · 12/10/2017 19:16

Oh and You Me Her...

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 19:19

Ozark!!

PickleSarnie · 12/10/2017 19:21

Life in Pieces on Amazon is really good

CalmanOnSpeeddial · 12/10/2017 19:23

The Crown!

And Line of Duty is on Netflix I think - it’s not too gory though it does have the occasional wince-making moment.

Farontothemaddingcrowd · 12/10/2017 19:24

Power. Amazing! I love it.

hellokittymania · 12/10/2017 19:31

I really like orphans lock as well. I don't know if Ingobernable is still on Netflix, but that was very good too. I think there is an option to watch it in English, although I speak Spanish so for me it wasn't a problem.

feral · 12/10/2017 22:39

I’ve just watched the first Dynasty remake on Netflix. Got to say it was cheesy but I loved it. 😎

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 23:22

There's a Dynasty remake????!!!!

badbadhusky · 12/10/2017 23:25

It's appalling. I started a thread, but we won't tune in for episode 2.
