It was a repeat. I remember watching it. Not a great situation was it. I thought she came across as a good Mum but everything else was so disfunctional.

2014newme · 11/10/2017 13:05

Oh God have they repeated it? Awful people

cushioncovers · 11/10/2017 14:33

First time I saw it. I wonder how they are doing now? How long ago was it first shown does anyone know?

OP posts:
FlipFlopFlappy · 12/10/2017 09:43

A few months maybe

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2017 10:20

Is this the one with the dad who drank and his in laws hated him and they moved to Ireland to be with his family ?

Updated or repeat

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 11:45

Oh Lord this is depressing.

"DSS as obviously I have 4 children" ConfusedHmm yeah, I know I'm judging!!

I can understand her parents, they've seen it all before, haven't they?

We're used to seeing wealthy American parents of multiples on TLC, this is the real opposite.

Priam · 12/10/2017 11:51

I remember watching this first time round...soooo depressing.
Would love to know how theyre doing now

Priam · 12/10/2017 11:52

I've forgotten how they managed to afford the IVF?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 11:59

They said 2 cycles of IVF, do you get that on the NHS ?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 11:59

Tony will be drinking within a week of going back.Sad

cushioncovers · 12/10/2017 13:07

Blonde yes it is.** No updates though

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2017 13:37

I think they got it the ivf on NHS

Her parents were horrible to him if I rem correctly

Namechanger2735 · 12/10/2017 13:41

I watched the repeat of this the other night (aswell as when it was originally shown).
Is it judgy of me to think you should have SOME financial stability to be able to go through the IVF process?

Priam · 12/10/2017 13:55

I quite agree Namechanger

seasidesally · 12/10/2017 13:56

yes watched it a second time and would really like to know how they are alldoing

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2017 14:20

To adopt they go through all financial records so yes maybe if have free/NHS ivf they should check if you can afford a child /your background

Tho anyone doing ivf who had 2 embryos back in won't expect both to take and split - assume that's how she had 4?

cushioncovers · 12/10/2017 14:32

That makes sense blonde I wondered how they ended up with 4.

OP posts:
sukitea · 14/10/2017 23:03

I imagine her parents were not best pleased with Tony because of his drinking and the fact that he has other children that he is estranged from. I wouldn't be welcoming him with open arms either. The air of them seemed so child like.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2017 07:19

I missed the bit he has other children

Unlikely they got NHS ivf then as don't usually if partner has children you lose your NHS go

Speaks from bitter experience

cushioncovers · 15/10/2017 09:36

Yes he has three grown up kids from previous relationship(s)
