Anybody remember this?

I've no idea what the name of this show was. From memory it was a 2 part series. I was in school when it came out so anywhere between 2001-2006 really. Pretty sure it was a BBC drama. From my hazy memory it revolved around some scouse kids during the war who were sent to Australia. There were a lot of priests. I think we found out the younger brother of the main scouse lad was abused by one of the priests. There was also a scene in part 2 where the queen visited and the eldest brother stormed around with a knife shouting 'fuck you queen' or something like that. Anyone remember?

Wikipedia says it was The Leaving of Liverpool. It was on in 1992 when I was 8! I remember it so clearly.

Unless it was repeated in early 2000s.

I had asked this question years ago as it had stuck with me.

Then it was repeated in the noughties, which is when you've seen it!
