This was the first SK book I read, about 20 years ago! I've been looking forward to the movie for months.

We've even set up a (boak) "date night" to watch it together. DH hasn't read the book...and I may need a "that didn't happen in the book!" outlet...hope you don't mind!

Come back and tell us what it’s like. I couldn’t finish the book, it got frizbeed across the room with a scream. I’m interested in the film though.

Ozzde · 29/09/2017 21:18

I'm watching tonight. Been well over 20 years since I read it so no chance of remembering specific details only the general jist and the Dolores Claiborne link. Let you know what I think.

MozzchopsThirty · 29/09/2017 23:21

Is it out at the cinema?
Or on Netflix?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/09/2017 23:25

how are you watching it?

Opheliasgoldenwine · 29/09/2017 23:31

It's on Netflix Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 30/09/2017 00:00

awesome! That's Sunday sorted!

Haggisfish · 30/09/2017 00:00

Aaaaaaaaarrrrggggggh! I couldn't!!! Book was bloody brilliant though.

Ozzde · 30/09/2017 00:05

Ok, I enjoyed it. Was home alone tonight so did find parts quite creepy. The one bit I did remember from the book I had to watch with my hands over my face cringing. Last ten minutes I wasn't particularly fussed on but don't want to say anything about it as I'm aware people haven't seen it.

I am glad I haven't read the book lately as otherwise it would have been another IT experience where I couldn't help noticing what they'd changed or left out.

LadyDeadpool · 30/09/2017 00:07

Just finishing it now, Oh gosh that hand part not wanting to give spoilers but that's not leaving my head anytime soon.

Babyiwantabump · 30/09/2017 00:53

Watching now - eek

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 30/09/2017 06:40

So I went and fell a-bloody-sleep in the middle of it, didn't I?

Feel free to post spoilers-I'll be watching the rest while DH does the food shopping.

Going to watch it today. Will come back to thread later

thegoodnameshadgone · 30/09/2017 15:43

I’m on my own tonight. Is it scary? Too scary to watch on your own?

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 30/09/2017 20:57

I'm with you guys...as I ßTILL haven't managed to watch it! Will catch up tomorrow.

cushioncovers · 30/09/2017 22:07

Well I didn't really understand it but the acting was brilliant. It's creepy in places but not really scary.

YoureAnArseholeDenise · 30/09/2017 23:18

Bloody brilliant!

cushioncovers · 01/10/2017 11:59

I have questions but they will have spoilers in them.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 01/10/2017 12:14

Can we post spoilers now? MYbe if you do that "SPOILER* then press return a few times before you post" thing?

OP posts:
cushioncovers · 01/10/2017 12:16

Think I will leave it a day and then ask😄

chickensaresafehere · 01/10/2017 13:07

Watched it last night (alone!!).
Geralds Game is one of the few SK novels that I haven't read.
I enjoyed it.Recognised 'Lurch' from the 'Addams Family' straight away! Lol!!

thenightsky · 01/10/2017 15:28

Watching it now. Read the book decades ago so cannot remember much of the detail.

kittydetective · 01/10/2017 19:38

Just watched this .. fucking confused

MissyCupCake · 01/10/2017 19:43

I enjoyed it, one of my favourite SK books. I think having read the book helps to understand the film.
