Did anyone watch this? I think the work they do is amazing. I loved the mother and daughter team who cleaned the man's flat, who had depression. The mother in particular had such a great soul and spirit. She didn't patronise him, even though his flat was disgusting, and seemed to genuinely care. I can understand how someone's home can get in such a state when they have depression and can't be bothered with housework. It's easily done. It's programmes like this which make me all the more willing to keep on top of my housework as as soon as you let it slip, it can easily get out of hand.

I wondered about who arranges for these firms of cleaners to go in, do you think it might be Social Services for people who are sick, disabled or elderly? And who pays them? I don't imagine they're cheap at all.
You're right, what they do takes courage and determination, plus a strong stomach, they achieve wonderful results.

I know one of the cleaners on there! Didn't actually realise they did such extreme cleans though until I saw the programme ... thought they were just normal house cleaners!

I couldn't watch it. I was gagging. I find things like that really hard, but fascinating.

I hope they got help, that mans flat was so awful. I can see how easy it could happen with depression. It's a reminder to clean up and not let things get out of hand.
